The Prophecy (DVD, 1999)

This is a collection of The Prophecy and The Prophecy II and III. I loved all of these movies and was not able to find them anywhere. To be able to buy all three was fantastic. They combine to tell the story of a second war in heaven being waged by those both on the side of humanity (Eric Stoltz in the Prophecy) and against us (Christopher Walken as Gabriel). I reccommend this to any Walken fan or for those who like stories about angels.

I first saw this movie in the theaters and I knew it would be considered a cult classic after my first viewing. I have rented this movie about 5-6 times a year but as the years go by it was not always easy to find so I finally broke down and bought all three. I think my favorite part is watching Viggo playing the angel Lucifer or Christopher Walken playing the angel Gabriel. They did such a wonderful job bringing these characters alive.
Prophecy I recieves 5/5 stars. Prophecy II recieves 4/5 stars. Prophecy III recieves 4/5 stars. All in all, Christopher Walken makes this movie series with his stellar performance. Great flick, glad I own all three.

Christopher Walken is the ultimate bad angel as Gabriel in this movie...and the two movies that followed- I bought all three together.
It is the story of the war in heaven between the angels that have remained faithful to God and those who became jealous of the human race and turned against Him.
The acting is superb and so are the special effects.
I give it the highest rating of three thumbs up!

This movie is basically about a missing chapter of the bible. A HOLY WAR in heaven brought by us...HUMANS! Because we have a Soul and Angels Don't, it created a war between God and Angels. Christopher Walken Excellent actor portrays Gabriel. And when lucifer finds out about this war. He puts in his Two Cents. Great Movie. Good for all Religions. I decided to buy it after watching it on Cable. Good movie to get your Questions RILED UP!!

This DVD is one of my all time favorites. I love Christopher Walkins, and he is GREAT in this movie. This movie is about good and bad angels fighting here on earth to get heaven back to the way it was before humans were created. I think that it puts an interesting twist on angels and how they may feel about us. One of the great things about this movie is that there has never been a movie like it or one that has come close to the same kind of story. It's a different kind of tell, and will make you think a little bit.
