A Real Treat of A Movie With Lots of Action & Surprises
Created: 11/12/10
This movie is right up there with other practically unknown movies like "Body Heat" and "The Terminator" when they first came out at the theatre. But believe me, this movie is well worth your time, as they were.
It starts out with what seems like a senseless killing of a U. S. Naval Officer and another bystander in Puerto Vallarta. Frightening everyone including two innocent, broke sweethearts, Luz (Giovanna Zacarias) and Danny (Craig Wasson), the killing is brutal and bloody. Danny is a struggling writer and Luz is a waitress/part time prostitute. Soon, however, their plight changes when a stranger, Clayton Price (Scott Glenn) offers to pay them $5000 to drive him to the American border. Luz is against it, but Danny is desperate. So they head out.
It soon becomes apparent that Clayton was the killer. Hot on his trail is CIA agent Weatherford and his boss Walter McGrane (Harvey Keitel). McGrane is a burned out government agent and lets his feelings be known to his young assistant. They pursue our three through all kinds of action until finally they meet.
Also, watch for 1980s Latin star Vikki Carr singing in a Mexican night club along the way.
Be prepared for lots of spine tingling action. This is not a movie where you go to the kitchen or talk on the phone. You will miss something. It is a real treat!

A very good movie that did not pan out very well at movies in the United
States. However, for people that have been to Puerto Vallarta, you will
see the movie was shot on location and you will note alot of scenery that
you will recall-even though much of it is shot at the newer part of the
city. A suspense movie all the way, with a fairly surprising ending, the
plot flows aroundClayton Price (Scott Glenn) a merciless CIA hitman, who
makes an unauthorized hit, his CIA contact (Harvey Keitel) becomes intent
on pursuing and killing the rogue assassin. Price's only hope for survival
and independence is to enlist the help of a down and out American writer
and his headstrong Mexican girlfriend, who agree to drive Price to the
border, a decision that changes their lives forever. A suspenseful movie
with a very suspenseful ending. Movie also stars Miguel Sandoval (Clear
and Present Danger). This movie is the ultimate story of love, danger and
desperation and is definitely a good evenings entertainment-worth every
cent you will pay for an ebay copy-even at near retail price.

Good plot. Holds your interest. Watch for Austin Miller, of Grease on NBC fame, at the 1:18 marker. He is a super-star in the making.
