Puppet Master: The Legacy (DVD, 2009)

Another clip show from Full Moon, but unlike "When Puppets & Dolls Attack!" at least this one has a plot about a female assassin trying to track down the truth about Andre Toulon & his murderous marionettes.
An attempt by producer Charles Band to iron out many of the continuity problems that have developed over the decades in his long series of "Puppet Master" movies (specifically, was their creator a gentle old man or a murdering psychopath?), it is not entirely success, but it is never less than interesting, thanks in no small part to some very good acting by the two person cast in the new footage.
The main problem with this DVD is the same one I've had with many of the other Full Moon movies I've picked up, which is that the box claims to have contents that it turns out the disc does not.
Once again they have put a one-sided disc in a two-sided box which means I did not get the 2 hours of "Puppet Master" making-of documentaries promised on the cover (luckily, I had already picked up the aforementioned "When Puppets & Dolls Attack!", so at least I have it there...).
Keep that in mind if you decide to buy.

Once again, another Charles Band favorite. Although this one is mainly flashbacks about the previous 6 movies, as The Legacy was created to tell the Toulon Story, its still a wonderful collaboration. I was glad that I found The Legacy. And now to work on collecting the rest. ;)

Puppet Masters is a cult classic worth buying all the time!
