Great movie! I'm in the works to become an air traffic controller. Pushing Tin is to controllers like Top Gun is to pilots.

I am a student studying air traffic control and I absolutely loved it. It is nice to see a movie based around this instead of just the planes for once! The controllers work so hard it is nice to have them recognized once in a while. They don't get enough thanks for bringing our air traffic in safely day after day!

Great Movie About Air Traffic Controllers

I find this movie to be very interesting with a great plot in between the intense action moments. I know some people do not see how two blips on a screen can be an intense action moment, but it done really well in this movie. The main plot of this movie revolves around the relationship between the hot shot at the air traffic control and the new guy, who shows him up and fustrates him. Can they come together in the end and avert tragedy at the airport?

This is a strange and quirky movie about a profession who's members have the highest burn-out rate in the country, Air Traffic Controllers. John Cusack is Nick Falzone, a real Hot-Shot ATC in NYC's Kennedy Airport. Within about fifteen miles, there are three major international airports, JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark. There are thousands of flights in and out of this airspace daily, and the ATC crack up rate is high. One day a new ATC transfers in, Russell Bell (Billy Bob Thornton). He is a real wierdo, but wery sure handed and competent. Nick, having been King of the Hill for so long now feels like he has to compete with Bell in all ways. Bell, however just takes everything in stride and always comes out looking good. This is driving Nick crazy. Bell's wife is Angelina Jolie, and she plays herself - a real nut case! She drinks a lot, and in a moment of stupidity, she and Nick go to bed together. Now Nick is really out of his head, with guilt, and afraid that Bell's nutty wife will tell him what happened. In all of the craziness, Nicks wife finds out and leaves him. Bell finds out too, and all of a sudden Nick has a screw-up that almost causes a mid-air collision. This is a strange movie, and accurately mimics the pressures and problems of the ATC personnel. I enjoyed this movie.

Great movie! A must have for anyone that's an air traffic controller. There are some graphic scenes that are inappropriate for children.
