The Quickie
Created: 13/10/07
Lauren Stillwell seems to have a good marriage. Sure, her husband Paul has been a little distant lately. But, all marriages have their ups and downs, right? Deciding to surprise Paul with an impromptu lunch date one day, Lauren unexpectedly catches him entering a hotel with another woman. To make matters worse, she's a younger woman.
Shaken, hurt, and assuming the worst, Lauren decides to go on a little payback mission. Unfortunately, her night of passion with a coworker ends tragically, and changes Lauren's life forever. Her little quickie sets off a chain of events that turns this once moral and upstanding woman into a manipulating liar and hypocrite. In the end though, Lauren finds out that even though fate can be cruel, sometimes cruel can be kind. And, sometimes fate willingly gives us a second chance.
The Quickie is a fast read; full of twists, turns, and plenty of surprises. In addition, you get a healthy dose of passion, mystery, and sweet, sweet revenge. Good for a time when you don't want to think, you just want to enjoy a good read.

I Love James Patterson books, and this one didn't disappoint. The author lets you in on little secrets and clues, but still keeps you hanging onto the edge of your seat right until the very end. I bought this book because it was by James Patterson and he is one of my favorite authors.

Love James Patterson books. The chapters are short. I like hard back books because they are much easier to read. His books are vey intense. The characters seem very real. Once you start reading you are caught up in the first few pages.

The Quickie by James Patterson

I loved this book. Don't know about the complainers, but it drew me in and I read it overnight. The plot blew my socks off. Unexpected twists & turns. Without giving away any hints, it keeps you turning the pages. I definitely would recommend it as a Quickie read. I find all James Pattersons books a quick read. Don't know if it is because they are short or because I can't stop till it's over.
I love ALL the Lindsay Boxer ones. 1st to Die, etc.
