The video did not provide any useful information or tips on preparing raw food, selecting the ingredients, what to look for, or even mention any benefits or nutritional information of raw foods. The chef Bryan Au works really quickly through each recipe, telling you that if you want the exact recipe, you'll need to buy his book (the recipes aren't included with the DVD).As he's making the dishes, he doesn't explain what he's doing. He just mentions the ingredients he's using, but doesn't tell you the exact quantities he's using nor does he tell you what kind of knife techniques he's using. He mentions repeatedly that his recipes are eco-friendly and off-the-grid, meaning they don't require a blender....yet 2 of the 3 recipes require blended ingredients. Not only does he not explain his recipes, but there's no mention of the raw food diet or why he chose the lifestyle or how he's benefited from it. He does, however, constantly tell viewers to buy his book.Hope this can help you decide. Thanks for reading! :)

Awful Video, Unproffessional, but good food.

So you get to watch a few recipes made, with two guys with cheap cameras which you see in every other shot. The "talking head" who does this, is not a public speaker, and sounds like a valley girl and giggles constantly throughout. He means well, but this is a huge turnoff to getting through the video. Being told that this is good for the world, the environment etc, over and over as an afterthought was annoying. I suggest that this guy cook, and not do any more videos. Where was the rest of the restaurant featured? The menu? I did hear over and over about his book, again, annoyingly so, he repeated himself over and over, no thought was given to a script for this production.
The demonstration food was cut dangerously and I hope he learns to use a knife properly, we were wincing thinking he was about to cut himself! The scraps remained all over the place, and the sound of the blender was slightly dubbed to be less noisy just while it was going.
The people he must have grabbed in off the street to test this stuff made strange faces which led one to believe that it tasted horrible as they said it was 'different' or 'interesting' or "ok". I don't think much planning went into this, and you are only shown how to make a few things for the money.
Over all, this was a waste of viewing time, we barely got through it. This could be done well with someone with some on camera skill and charisma, and better speaking experience. I would not recommend this video to anyone, and hope I can sell mine on Ebay.
