The California hard-rock act's first outing since its '04 studio reunion record, INTO THE NOW finds raspy-voiced frontman Jeff Keith leading the band through a well-selected set of classic-rock gems that includes a faithful rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" and a stomping take on the James Gang's "Walk Away."

Real Pain In The Butt!

Created: 06/06/07
First thing after opening this disc I responded with shock. Where is the second disc?!? Then I read the find print...

*WARNING: REEL 2 disc not inside this box! REEL 2 can only be obtained by purchasing a concert ticket to a Tesla headline concert in 2007. Fairs and Festivals not included. Check with your local venue or the website for details.

Ok, no biggie Tesla puts on a great show. So I check the tour schedule... and of course it's coming nowhere near me. How lame is that, so now what??? How do I get my second disc to fill the empty case?

All these problems aside, it's a great album. My personal favorites include the Temptations Ball Of Confusion and UFO's Rock Bottom. Tesla is a very talented band and it really shines through on this collection of cover songs. Now I just need to get disc 2 so I can check out War Pigs!

*disc 2 is now available*

Classic Rock: From Beatles, James Gang, Traffic Etc.

Created: 07/11/07
First this is an excllent collection of covers.
A large majority of which I have covered in bands (no big deal as has most Rock Guitarist). The thing that really flipped me out was the more off the wall stuff I used to play, have played or would have love doing a cover version live or recored of, things like Traffic's "Dear Mr. Fantasy" or the Beatles "I got a Feeling".
What Tesla Basically does with Disc 1 and Disc 2 are show you there roots.
This is what they grew up listening to and learning from.
If you like Tesla you'll like this Disc.
If you hate Tesla, nothing here's going to change your mind.

As Far as Disc 2 Goes it can now be legally purchased online if you know where to look. It may have become even more readily avaiable (legally) now.

Another great Tesla CD

Created: 04/08/07
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm a big Tesla fan. That being said, I would just like to say that, given the electic nature of the cuts on this CD, Tesla has managed to make each and every one of the songs sound like Tesla wrote them, especially Thank You and Dear Mr. Fantasy. I mean, songs that came out in the '60's and '70's sound as fresh and new as if they were written in 2007. All the Tesla trademarks, great vocals and guitars, are here. Once again, awesome job by my favorite band!

I must admit that I am a little miffed about the missing second CD. However, the missing second CD is available on eBay. They're pretty expensive, but worth it from my perspective.

In summation, you will not be sorry purchasing this CD.

Real To Reel Album

Created: 16/06/07
These guys ROCK! AWESOME VOCALS, I grew up with all the great hair bands from the 70's and 80's. This album was a shocker to me as well. The shrink wrap stickers seem to be a bit misleading, and tend to make you think the album contains REEL's 1 & 2, only to find out after opening it that you have to purchase the concert ticket to receive REEL 2...... please be advised only REEL 1 with 13 perfectly done tracks will be included. Jeff's re-make of Zepplin's "THANK YOU" track is truley incredible!!!! The copy I purchased from f.y.e. does include a **BONUS DISC** that has 2 exclusive tracks: "HEAVEN'S TRAIL (No Way Out)" Special Acoustic Version and "ALL THE YOUNG DUDES" You can go to www.teslarealtoreel.com for more details.

My Favorite song on disc 2 is the remake of Peter Frampton's do you feel like I do.... this is a must have set.
