Redemption (DVD, 2004, Dual Side)

Despite the star caliber of the cast this is the most boring movie ever! Cursory treatment of Stanley "Tookie"'s past is explored in just a couple of flashbacks. The rest of the movie takes place in a prison interview room intermixed with cuts of clouds passing quickly across the sky (ie. time passing). Stanley's greatest accomplishment - ending the violence between the Bloods and the Crips - consists of one scene. In the end you're completely baffled by who Stanley was, what he did or the legal battle that took place to commute his sentence. They only thing you are sure of is that a lot of clouds passed over head during his incarceration.

i had gotten it because i thought it would be interesting to get. i have been looking for it since 2005 when i saw it in a movie rental place. finally i had seen it on ebay. the movie is actually very good and educational to others who do not know much about the blood and crips history. And to see how life is in prisons. also like the movie american me.

I found Jaime Foxx in a new light. I understand now, that he is a genius. Jaime's depiction of the Crip King was so captivating to me that I feel as though I knew Tookie personally, and walked with him awhile.

You can never forget this movie.

A Great movie with an outstanding message. A "must see" for young people. Will provoke some awesome discussion! Great Job Jamie Foxx!

I purchased this movie to share with middle school students who Affliate with gang members or students who claim to be in cliques that are on the verge of being n a gang. The disk arrived on time and its a brand new disk thats affordable.
