Bought this for a weatherby vanguard series 1 sporter chambered in 30-06. It's a great scope for the money. The hold over points given are accurate for many loads and the light transfer is great. The reticle is not custom etched for the cartridges that I often shoot, so a bit of practice at various ranges out to 400 yds. would get you the hold over info you need. After boresighting, it only took six rounds to have it shooting sub- moa and still was after 40 rounds fired out of a rifle that, for it's caliber, kicks like a mule. Lifetime warranty. Plenty of eye relief for me. Perfect for deer hunting. I wouldn't think twice about taking a shot at 350 yds. after firing only 20 rounds at the range. The weather seals on the turret caps are water tight and the turret clicks are easy to feel. The matte finish produces no glare off of the tube. Glass is very clear and the accu-range reticle helps a lot for getting on the "x" at long ranges given the 9x maximum magnification. Mounted it with Leupold Std. Mounts. Though it depends on the rifle, this scope sits perfectly (very little clearance) with "low" rings. Would highly recommend the scope, especially for the $150 that I paid for it.

A absolute best value for a "meat and potatoes" scope. Get's the job done.

I've been a Redfield fan for a number of years, both the Denver made and Japan made. I was excited to see that Leupold bought the rights and was glad to buy a US made product.
Eye relief really sold me. No more having to have your eye "Just Right" to get a full view down range. Enough eye relief that they don't put an eye guard on it, so don't crowd it like a Chinese scope.
Glass is excellent even in twilight, Illuminator coating is standard.
Don't bother with the Accu-Range reticle unless you have a laser rangefinder. It does NOT determine range, but neither does the Burris or Nikon BDC.
Solid built, the only thing I didn't like is that the windage and elevation clicks can be a little vague or mushy, bot hold dead on once sighted in. Two Thumbs Up !

Seems to be quite durable and accurate. Sighted in on one shot as shown in video and has stayed on target so far. Redfield has installation video on web site which was very helpful for me as I had never mounted a scope before. I was replacing a factory mounted scope and had to replace the base and rings as well. I am having problem getting proper eye relief at higher magnification- I cannot get scope back far enough. This may be unique to my rifle (Savage 110) or I may not be doing something right. Any way the redfield is 1-2 inches shorter than the bushnell it is replacing. I generally do not use the higher mag so I'll leave it as is. The clarity and durability is night and day different from the factory scope.

I have to say I have not hunted for at least 15 yrs and the
rifle I dug out of the closet did not have a scope. I had used
refield years ago and would stick with it. The scope arrived
in three days and the price was not a lot more than 30+yrs ago. The rings were still on the rifle so mounting was no
problem. The instructions with the scope were simple to follow and we bore sighted in the shop. In the field we got on the target in 4 rounds. The new (to me) adjustments do not
require tools. Had a good 3 shot group and called it good.
The clarity and field are much improved now.
The third day of deer season 8 AM I bagged a 4 pt mule deer
at 150 yds with one shot from my 7mm. Now at 70 that works
for me.

Scope works great, very easy to set up and its easy to obtain the target, I only had to make a slight adjustment and I put 3 shots in a four inch circle very fair price also I shopped around and this the best out there.
