Evil Lives Up ---- AGAIN !!
Created: 16/12/07
Flesh-Eating Zombies are Apocolyptically back in 'Resident Evil: Extinction', the Third (3rd) and expected last film in the 'Resident Evil' franchise. No better or worse than its video game-derived predecessors, Russell Mulcahy's schlockfest plays off other Sci-Fi Chillers as Milla Jovovich slices and dices her way through Armies of Zombies to shut down the Nefarious Umbrella Corporation for good.
Watching Jovovich and her Action Babe sidekick Ali Larter (Heroes) blast Zombies to a bloody pulp is akin to seeing a gore-splattered Maxim layout, turned into a feature film; a premise that frankly was set for all 'Resident Evil's' successfully. And is still the hot, smoking-gun again !!
For anyone who missed the previous 'Resident Evil' Films, Jovovich plays Alice, one of the few people left on Earth not infected with the Umbrella Corporation's T-Virus, which turns its victims into Zombies. Genetically altered to be super strong and agile by the sinister Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen), Alice has found a refuge of sorts in the Nevada wasteland, where she ultimately meets a ragged band of survivors, led by her 'Resident Evil: Apocalypse' friend Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr) and Claire Redfield (Larter).
After many brutal conflicts with the Zombies and T-Virus infected crows, they decide to set out for distant Alaska, supposedly beyond the reach of the T-Virus. But first they'll have to stop to refuel in Las Vegas, where they'll run up against the Zombies for one more Apocolyptic Showdown while Isaacs, who needs Alice's blood; seeks to avenge his evil plan of transforming the Zombies into his slaves.
Directed by Mulcahy ('Highlander') with great enthusiasm for his genre, 'Resident Evil: Extinction' offers up more of it's same sexy-horror slaughter (i.e., scantily clad babes battling Zombie Galore), in a film that screams success to it's audience on multiple-levels.... the sex, violence and Zombie Monsters. Mulcahy and Producer/Screenwriter Paul Anderson crib from such films as 'The Road Warrior' (1982), '28 Days Later' (2003), 'Pitch Black' (2000) and George Romero's 'Day of the Dead' (1985), among others, in this vehicle for Jovovich, the reigning queen of the Sexy-Erotic Horror Babes vs Zombies (that even Rose McGowan has joined now from 'Planet Terror').
Entertaining....Fun-Guaranteed !!!!

Make certain what you are buying

The movie is fantastic! But, what I am about to write about is something that, before, I had not a clue about. I am a die-hard Resident Evil fan and went bought a a high bid for the Resident Evil Triology. Not knowing what Blue Ray was, I won and was very happy when it arrived in the mail. My dilema began when I attempted to play them on a regular DVD player. No such luck; so, I went to the internet to discover that Blue Ray was not compatible with the DVD player. Much to my own pin headedness, now I am stuck with it until I can resell through ebay or at least find someone who has a PS3 interested in this movie. A lesson learned. Make certain you know and understand the product before bidding.
