Resistance 3 (Sony Playstation 3, 2011)

A great game. Nothing less to expect from the guys at Insomniac , but this Resistance 3 has much more to offer than the previous two games. First off, the famous weapon wheel is back and better. The new weapons in this game offers much more strategy than the previous two games where it was run and gun most of the time. I'd have to say based on my own experience this game is not as boring as some would say. This game offers the creeps with detailed intel reports and creepy audio messages. Moreover, the cutscenes and flashbacks in this game gives off the good old "MGS" theatrical vibe, which is of course, one of the best games to integrate movie like elements into a game. The new multiplayer is a vast improvement from No.2 and is just downright fun. Yes, FUN, the one and only thing important in online gaming. Overall, this game is worth your money and time, offers a brilliant and well crafted story along with all those exciting quirks and what not that will make you game out of your mind. If you do decide to pick this game up, just get ready for the "awesomeness" as many of my peers would say.

The campaign definitely shines in the game better than the other two installments but the multiplayer isn't as good as resistance 2. The co-op has no matchmaking so if you don't have a PSN friend directly invited you can't play it. That was kind of a bummer to find out. But like I said the campaign is great and the competitive multiplayer is adequate. Its worth getting if you liked the other two.

Resistance 3 is not as good as the first and the second Resistance, but it is quite good. It is interesting to see the end of the events that started in the first game.

It is quite fun to play, but don't expect to much of it if you want a long gameplay: in some hours you finish it with no problem.

I don't know the online experience because it is a second hand game and it demands that anoying online pass, but with Modern Warfare 3, Killzone 3 and Battlefield 3 out there I don't see any reason for buying its pass.

I wish that developers would realize that there is such a thing as too much. The thing I liked about the first Resistance was that you could fight a strategic, well earned battle. It was difficult enough to make it highly rewarding once you made it past a particular area. Not so with this one. It is mostly just mass chaos. You enter a fight and there are bullets everywhere, lights whizzing on the screen so much you can't tell where they're coming from or whose it is. Eventually, you'll just have to run out with the trigger down, shooting in circles, hoping you run into health before you die. It's the exact reason why I cannot stand Call of Duty. I guess they figure the more noises and crap on the screen, the better the game is.
If you haven't played the first Resistance, get that. Otherwise, get a good game, like any of the Uncharted titles. Skip this one.

I have played all three resistance games. I did like a lot Resistance 1. I thought that the idea behind the game was interesting and visuals were excellent. Resistance 2 single player was somewhat disappointing and i thought that visuals although good were too flashy. Resistance 3 is the best of the three in my opinion. Visuals are just insane and overall the game follows the theme of resistance 1. Great single player experience in my opinion. The story is good and i am disappointed that this game has not sold well and insomniac will not develop resistance 4. the game deserves five stars out of five. Pick up Resistance and experience unique game.
