how to restore your harley davidson

This is THE BIBLE when it comes to restoring a harley davidson. It is so detail oriented that even the most neurotic harley enthusiast will agree with the details. It will even show you where to place the wiring harness throughout the bike and the 5 different types of handlebar grips used on harleys. THIS IS THE BIBLE OF RESTORATION !!! ITS JUST AWESOME BABY !!!

Hi from John in Toronto Canada. This is a great book I have Panheads and Flatheads and it covers everything I need to know.I bought some 1937 U flathead cases off ebay on Sept 21 2011.The seller soupbone100 told me that both case sides were 1937 before I bought them.So I did and found out after reading the Bruce Palmer book. That they were not.On page 187 Motor details: 1937-1948 Big twin SV crankcases. It tells you the crakcase cast numbers for the right side case are 112-372 for the years 1937-1939.And for the years 1940-1948 the cast numbers are 112-40.That was the cast number on the right case I got from soupbone100 From vintage bobbers Inc in Florida USA and a #46-1929 belly number on the bottom of the case.Which makes the case a 1940-1948 SV case. The #46--1929 belly number would tell you that i'ts a year of 1946.Not a 1937 as Doug kelly aka ebay name soupbone100.Had told me when he had sold these enginecases to me.The Bruce Palmer book also tells on the same page the engine races are different on the 1937-1939 SV
cases to the 1940-1948 SV cases.I't seems strange that soupebone100 is saying this a great book. When he's selling me the wrong parts.Maybe he should learn to read???????????

Interesting book. Compliments H-D manual. A little pricey but all books are getting high. Adds that little extra info you might need to know without the extra research to find something. I bought it just for correct part numbers. It helped me some.
