Return to Mysterious Island (PC, 2004)

I first saw this game at BigFish. After reading the description, I decided to see if I could find a copy on eBay as RPG is my favorite game format.

This game is a lot of fun, but not overly easy. You need to think about how you are going to accomplish your goals. (Light a fire, catch a fish, etc...) The scenery is well rendered and background sounds really add to the gameplay experience.

I like that this game doesn't promote violence.

I really enjoyed this game. Firstly, I liked the freedom of 360 degree view in the game and especially the detailed graphics of the lush tropical island. By the far the high point of this game is the creative and yet totally practical problems which one has to solve along the way in order to survive and accomplish objectives. There is usally more than one way to solve a problem which makes it even more of a challenge to manage your inventory.

This is really a fun game, which will keep you busy for hours. I could stop playing it when I first installed it (stayed up half the night...).

This game was well written and easy to navigate. I enjoy solving puzzles and trying to figure out how to make things work. This game had many puzzles to solve, repairs to make, and other combinations of things to solve. The story line was also good and the game ended well. Excellent game,I recommend this game to anyone who likes to find solutions to problems.

Return to Mysterious Island has been so far one of the top adventure games my wife and I have played. The puzzles were quite challenging, and the story line had some depth to it. I would challenge any adventure game enthusiast to have a go at this one

I first played this game when I was younger and I literally spent hours trying to beat it. Never did. But I remember I was so pulled into the story line and I always wanted to know what happened in the end. Now that I'm older I can't wait to try and finally beat this game.
