Twelve minutes of relentless industrial dance may be pushing it, for all the changes TGT rings in the layers of sound over the nonstop Kraftwerkian bass and drum work. This CD single/12" single works on a primary level, though the effect is more hypnotic than propulsive -- the beat probably won't make you want to get up and dance but want to just sit and become progressively less intelligent as the minutes go by. There are almost no vocals; in keeping with the usual industrial dance tradition, the rhythm is overlaid with processed sound bites and strange synthesized noises. In some respects, this sounds like the martial music for the new age of robotics; one can envision digital imagery being put to this music. As far as the track goes, it's well done, in both versions (it's essentially one mutating mix broken into two parts), and well performed (or programmed; MIDI lends itself to industrial dance). It would be nice, though, to have something else on this single besides "Revo," just as an indication of what else could be expected from TGT. ~ Steven McDonald
