    Kiyosaki - Worldclass Educator

    Created: 06/11/06
I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" in 2001, followed by this book, "Cashflow Quadrant", and they started to change the way I look at life. I was upset and disappointed that they didn't change my life more quickly (I just couldn't seem to figure out to make the whole passive income thing work). I was angry at Kiyosaki for writing a book that made me want something so badly without telling me how to do it.

When I tell the truth, however, since 2001 I have engaged in an entirely different fabric of conversation regarding money and employment, and through my own journey, I have now abandoned everything to be an entrepreneur (and I don't mean self-employed staring down the barrel of a business that will forever require me full-time). When I left Colorado, where I have been a resident for sixteen years, to move to California and join a friend of mine in executing what I see as a brilliant business plan, I told my friends and family, "We will make this business win no matter what! And if we don't, one thing is for sure: I will own and operate businesses and invest the money they make for me forever more. No more job-seeking. I am a creator of jobs, not a consumer of them!"

Without the help of Robert Kiyosaki, a brilliant educator, I never would have known that this was possible. I would have continued on like a lemming, seeking paychecks and hoping for a "big break" to come in and spice up my financial picture.

This book might not change your life quickly, and if you've already been thinking from the mind of a business owner/investor, it may not change your life at all, but if you are wondering if there is something more to life than collecting your paycheck, saving for retirement, and hoping the economy treats you and your family right, this is the book for you.

Robert Kiyosaki is probably the most popular teacher / advisor when it comes to personal finance and real estate investment; and for good reason! He knows exactly what he is talking about and teaches it in a way that makes his stories easy to relate to no matter what your present financial situation is. Once you pick up this book you won't want to put it down AND you will want to by the rest of his books too! I'd also highly recommend listening to his CDs and watching his educational videos too!

Cashflow Quadrant talks about how your income and expenses fit into your financial plan. Included in this description are your taxes, mortgage payment, investments, etc. Learn why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer so you can change your situation now. Stop being lead around by others and take control of your money with Robert's info!

I give Robert's books my highest recommendation!

A MUST read life changing book about finaces....

    Created: 05/04/09
This is one of those books that I believe EVERYONE should read. It really makes you say, "They the heck didn't anyone ever teach me this in High School, or College, or for that matter in the first 12 years of my business career?"

Kiyosaki has an amazing, simple, easy to understand, practical way of teaching people about money, finances & business. I love it when he says, "we (society/education) have taught people HOW to make money, but NOT how money IS made"!! If you really think about that it is a HUGE difference.

I encourage everyone to read this book and look for a vehicle to build a B type business to create long term residual income in there life. I recommend going to www.richdad.com for more information on his work!

    Good Ideas within this book.....

    Created: 10/01/08
Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant is a good read for those people looking to control there finial future. While I somewhat disagree with the author about his obsession with money and making more of it, the ideas in the book are great for the normal everyday people who go to work and try to do the best they can with what they have. What I got out of the book is SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, and when the opportunity comes along to buy or invest in something to create income you'll be ready.
