Shuffle seems to play a certain order
Poor head phones
No longer supported
No longer produced
Can’t find new units only refurbished players from Rio or online
No color screen (not a factor when I purchased it)
No Video (not a factor when I purchased it)
I love this player; I can’t wait when the company that bought Rio produces a second generation mp3 player with the same great features.

) Very nice MP3 player, after considering the cost beats the Ipod hands down. At a price of around $50 they are not exactly throwaway but if something goes wrong or it gets lost or stolen I can get over it with a replacement. The biggest technical deficiency is that you cannot create or modify a playlist in standalone mode; playlists are created on a PC when the player is connected via USB cable.
This things rocks. easily better than the ipod

) Easy to learn controls and has a bright backlight. has a nice custom eq and regular 6 type eq plus shuffle mode. There is a useful powersave auto shutoff feature though you don't really need that seeing as it has 20 hours battery life.
