The latter record revisits his earlier style, spending more time on dusty gravel roads than palm-tree-lined beaches. On "Living in Fast Forward," Chesney ponders his busy life dubbing himself a "hillbilly rock star out of control" amidst ZZ Top-like guitar riffs. The amiable singer also offers up the emotional ballad "You Save Me" and two odes to south-of-the-border drinking--the upbeat "Beer in Mexico" and the melancholy "Tequila Loves Me"--making this a release that's sure to appeal to fans of all phases of Chesney's career.

The MAN is A W E S O M E!

Created: 08/12/05
I am a HUGE KennyChesney admirer....his best album (in my opinion) is still BE AS YOU ARE...it's deep and personal and you come away from it feeling like you've received a piece of him as a gift to take with you....

That said, The Road and the Radio is a heartfelt inspiring mix of country, pop and island rhythms... KC has a way of writing (or finding) songs that talk about life the way we all live it (or wish we could) songs like FREEDOM and LIKE ME speak of the type of person I am....THE ROAD AND THE RADIO, LIVING IN FAST FORWARD, IN A SMALL TOWN, SUMMERTIME, and BEER IN MEXICO touch on the way my life opens in front of me....TEQUILA LOVES ME, YOU SAVE ME, SOMEBODY TAKE ME HOME love in it's rawest form.......WHO YOU'D BE TODAY reminisces about the future that could have been....and the bonus tracks BRANDY, FLIP FLOP SUMMER, OLD BIRDDOG, IN THIS BOAT ALONE these give a glimpse into the window of KennyChesney's OWN SOUL.

If you want to FEEL something when you listen to music....play this cd and open your heart to hear what it says

Awesome CD a must have

Created: 26/11/05
Kenny Chesney started out as a great country artist but over the last 3 albums he seemed to take a detour through Margaritaville leaving his country fans to hope that he was still on his way to his next country show. After hearing his latest release 'The Road and the Radio' it looks like the old Kenny is back. There are a couple songs that talk about sand and/or sun but they don't have the island feel that his last 3 albums have had. Personally I'm not a Jimmy Buffett fan so music that resembles it hasn't been my cup of tea. I thoroughly enjoy Kenny's latest work. If you're like me and you missed the old country Kenny you'll enjoy this cd. If you became a fan of Kenny's from his last 3 releases or you liked them better, I still think you'll like this release as while the sound may be more country, the feel is still laid back. Overall 5 stars and I feel an album all of his fans will enjoy.

Relating Life Through His Music

Created: 30/08/06
Following a highly publicized marriage and a divorce within the same year, Kenny Chesney lets his fans know just how he's feeling with his newest CD, The Road and The Radio. Songs contained on this album speak of love and losing and living and dying with "fun in between" songs such as Summertime.

One of the best albums produced by Kenny Chesney yet. This album offers something for everyone!

Great Kenny Chesney Country CD

Created: 26/07/06
This CD contains some great country songs. My favorite on this CD is "Living in Fast Forward," which is also my favorite Kenny Chesney song. I also like "Who You'd Be Today" and "Summertime."

Kenny Chesney-The Hits Machine!!

Created: 30/05/09
Good album..not loaded with hits, but definately sure to satisfy..A must for any Chesney fan! This silky crooner follows along the same lines as most of his "day at the beach hits" and easy listiening contemporary sounds. This particular album could have used alot more hit songs with catchy lyrics, but all artist coud use that I suppose. This album is well thought out, however and is valid of occupancy in any country fans collections with songs like Living In Fast Foward..
