I decided to purxhase this item because I wanted something a bit different than Guitar Hero and Rock Band style, so I thought I would give this a try. Its a cheaper version of the other two games, which makes it somewhat easier. Still its difficult passed the medium standard, its GUI is a bit different. You have choices on how to go through the game, which makes the game play seemingly the same, however the graphics seem to be something from the Playstation 2 era. The game is good for the price that was paid, and the good thing is, you dont need to purchase any new equipment to play it. It works well with the dual guitars for guitar hero and rock band. I have not tried it with the drums, since those are on my Christmas list. As it states though, the game can keep up with the giants of the music game genre, it just takes a little getting use to.
Overall rating of this game for me is 7.5 out of 10.

Good game but it's ALL covers

The playability is somewhat weird. The timing always seems a little off and you must be a lot more accurate than Rock Band or GH. The flat firgerboard on the screen is a bad decision too; it's harder to antecipate the notes that era coming. But once you get used to it, you can master it and have fun. The venues graphics are nice, all big venues (you don't have to start playing in clubs or sh*tholes); the characters are more realistic than the other games, although you can't customize them in any way. The repertoire is BEST of all games this type, but it's ALL made of covers - some songs sound very like the originals, others not so much.
Which is the most letdown of this game; if you beat all the notes you feel like you're in some kind of tribute band, not the artist himself.

I paid way to much for this game. Shoddier experience than Guitar Hero
| No, I would not recommend this product.

Way less fun than Guitar Hero or Band hero. The way the cords are displayed coming down the screen is highly annoying and harder to follow. The songs don't list an artist or band name, so it's hard to recognize the songs on the menu. I liked the song selection however.

I was disappointed to learn that this game doesnt allow you to perform as the WHOLE band. I was disappointed in the graphics as well as the fact that it is made honestly mostly for the drums. Also was not impressed with the music that comes on the disk.
