Rodney Carrington Live at the Majestic (DVD, May 1, 2007)

If you love the idea of Larry the Cable Guy with a guitar and singing ability, then Live at the Majestic is for you! Actually, Rodney Carrington is funnier and more entertaining. He puts the comedic pedal of his pick-up truck to the floorboard in his first bit and never lets up. His willingness to be self-deprecating about his penis size and sexual prowess is hilarious. His skills on the mic and his ability to use facial expressions only adds to the barrel of laughter.

There is a bonus track which includes comments about Rodney's stand-up comedy development and a serious song which he wrote at the death of a friend that is well worth the price of the DVD.

You should be aware, however, that there is a fair amount of nudity during his song about showing breasts. And, the language may prove to be offensive to some. But for out-of-control, down-home, home-spun humor, this is a great DVD. We highly recommend it!

I bought this DVD because I have seen Rodney Carrington live before. He is so funny, funny man, funny songs, a laugh a minute. This is definitely Adult Humor and not for children. We put this DVD on when we have adults over for an evening and everyone enjoyed it. Rodney is really something and can make a crowd laugh outloud.

I had never heard of Rodney Carrington until about a month ago. I had heard little commercials about his act and it caught my ear. I decided to buy this DVD and after watching it the 1st time I have to say that I really enjoyed it and smiled and laughed. He does a great standup act and the songs that he wrote are terrific and funny. I have watched it 3 times now and I am still enjoying it and probably will be watching it again soon. I will also be looking for more DVD's of Rodney's comedy..

Rodney Carrington is a great comedian, and this Dvd will bring out the laughter in anyone for sure...Songs like show them to me are played in this dvd highly recommend this one...

If you like Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, Larry The Cable Guy & Bill Engvall this is the guy for you. Rodney Carrington DEFINATELY has the southern style humor you are looking for. He is right up there with the other guys I just mentioned. His silly and sick humored songs will have you ROLLIN' WITH LAUGHTER!!! And I mean ROLLIN' IN A BIG PILE OF LAUGHTER!!! I like the ruanchy side of humor quite a bit. The raunchier, the better. And if your anything even half as sick and twisted as I am, your in luck! This is just the DVD for you. The facial expressions he adds to his punchlines are priceless. His punchlines come at you fast and funny. And this is one of those flicks you HAVE TO watch twice because you couldn't hear the punchline to the next zinger coming your way because you were laughing too loud and too hard. But not to worry. The laughter is good for all us sickos out there. And you won't be able to help but watch it again and laugh some more. This show is worth a lot of miles worth good healthy laughing. So go get yourself a big helping of humor and feel good for a change.
