Rodney Dangerfield No Respect: The Ultimate Collection (DVD, 2004, 3-Disc Set)

If crude, vulger, raunchy and offensive humor is up your alley. You came to the right place. Be gone if your a whiner! Rodney was simply amongst KINGS when it came to snappy one-liners. Buddy Hackett comes to mind as well. This DVD is sure to leave you in stitches if you like the same type humor that I do. THIS is classic Rodney Dangerfield. I was always an admirer of his fast witt and his ability to tell jokes at his own expense. Remember, if you can't laugh at yourself, you've never seen what you look like sleeping. And I truyl believe Rodney was able to laugh at himself. This show offers MANY belly-aching laughs that will leave a smile on your face that will make you look like you swallowed a coathanger. Smiles from ear to ear is what life is about. Everyone has their own brand they like. THIS is my brand. Rodney, I wish you were still with us. Enjoy the show folks! It's a great one! A keeper in my collection.

I bought this for my dad for Father's Day-he's almost 85 and a huge Dangerfield fan. He enjoyed Rodney mostly but apparently there are others on the dvd-like Roseanne etc. who share their x-rated jokes and my dad being a decent man of a certain generation is disgusted by that kind of humour and obscene language.
So forewarned if you do not like that kind of humour or if you are buying it for a gift for someone who may be sensitive to that.
Good for some people maybe-but in my family it was sadly to say-a huge waste of money.

the collection has a great deal and almost all rodney dangerfield has done especaially has stand up routines and hbo shows and also his jonny carson special i enjoyed the collection alot

Wow- I really should have read the warnings more closely. I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and we had an opportunity to watch one of the dvds the other day. If you hold Rodney dear to your heart, be ready for alot of vulgarity, and I mean alot! I was very surprised-the warnings do alert you to the possibility of strong language and vulgarity, but I personally was very shocked at the amount used by Rodney. There are bonuses, however, as there are other comedy routines in the dvds by other comics, including Sam Kinison and Tim Allen..overall, not for kids!

Rodney was an extremely funny comedian, the best according to Johny Carson. IN this series, he provides a mix of stand-up comedies, sketches with guests, and other acts. The quality of the DVDs is excellent (in comparison to the blurry nature of DVD's on Red Skelton, etc.). The amount of material in comparison to the price is another strong positive.
