Best RTK ever
Created: 24/09/06
Romance of the Three Kingdoms X is, in my opinion, the best of the long series. I have played almost all of the other RTK(Romance V is very very hard to find) so I know what is out there. This game gives you excellent (maybe even the best RTK) background music, great strategy, ultimate challenges and you even learn alot of ancient Chinese history along the way which I am facinated with. This game is about one thing: Conquest. You have expanded freedom in this game it is amazing, you can be anything you want in this game. You can be one of the existing masters or you can create your own from a huge collection of portraits. RTK X really does give you some many more options than any of the others from the series do. I personally do not like RTK games that are NOT USER FRIENDLY(and a few of them are). This one is so easy to learn that you don't have to sit and study the instruction book like you are in school. Its that easy. If you are interested in time based strategy games, then this game has it all. If you are a veteran of the RTK saga, then this will be even better. Get RTK X, you will not be dissapointed. Hope you enjoyed my review, have fun.

Great strategy game!

I loved this game alot, mainly because I'm a fan of strategy games, but on top of that it was one of the best strategy games that I've played. It allows a person to create their own officers, who in turn can be related, married, and have a close friend. It allowed me to make my own family on the game, which I enjoyed, haha. The gameplay is nice for a strategy game, but if done over hours and hours it may get repetitive, otherwise it's an amazing game played in moderation.

Best of the 11.

I really liked this version of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series the best(even better than XI, although XI is great too).
ROTK X is great because there seems to be an endless amount of tasks you can do to gain skills for your character. The game seems to be just as focused on building your character as it is unifying China.
If you like long soul-encompassing games (300+ hours), you will love this game.

good game, if you like games that require some thought.
the ability to choose your lord is cool, or become your own lord or forget the lords and become a mercenary and run around the world fighting any fight you want.
it takes hours to beat a senerio, but in that time you can aquire skills that help you in your conquest.
if you like games that make you think, and you have patience then this game may be for you.

Strategy at its best

Simply put, you will find the most freedom within a strategy game in the RTK series. RTK 10 is no exception...
This game is about acquiring the best talent (officers with high stats), increasing the economic stability and military strength of your territory and taking over the country.
The beauty in this game is that the game is never played the same way twice.
This game is not for those looking for supurb graphics or action sequences. It is a pure strategy game, turn based. Speed of thought and hand-eye coordination are not the key.
Its not a game you are going to pick up in a matter of a couple hours... takes several weeks to fully understand. But once you do, and you enjoy these types of games like I do... you'll be hooked!
