Rugrats - Tales from the Crib: Three Jacks and a Beanstalk (DVD, 2006)

In 1991, the cable television network Nickelodeon changed the face of children's programming with the hugely popular animated series RUGRATS. Created by new parents Gabor Csupo and Arlene Klasky as a warm and funny evocation of childhood, the long-running cartoon followed the colorful adventures of a group of diaper-clad toddlers--plucky Tommy Pickles; his worrywart best friend, Chuckie Finster; intrepid twins Phil and Lil; and later characters Dil and Kimi--as they dodged the troublemaking efforts of Tommy's supremely bratty older sister, Angelica. Though the cartoon ended after an amazing 13-year run, the RUGRATS return with the made-for-video series TALES FROM THE CRIB, which offers full-length movie interpretations of classic fairytales. Featuring the vocal talents of Amanda Bynes, Mo'Nique, and Kathy Najimy, this volume presents an imaginative retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk with Angelica as the evil giant and the Rugrats gang as the stalk-climbing tykes.
