Movie synopsis

Produced for the massive IMAX screen, SACRED PLANET combines breathtaking images of nature and the lives of native peoples with an ecological message. It allows the native people to speak for themselves, in their own words, and all express some variation on a theme of respecting the natural world and the consequences for not doing so. The lifestyles of these people are contrasted with those who do not live in harmony with nature, and narrator Robert Redford reemphasizes the film's message that ignoring mother nature will spell disaster and destroy the beauty of the earth that the film's images display.

Take a trip around the world in to nature.

Created: 02/06/06
I saw a trailer of this DVD in a movie and I always want to understand the world we live in, why is it so wrong. This DVD shows us that, the truth about mankind and nature.

The scenery is beautifull, the content is simple and easy to understand, and the message is educational. This is not a change your life video, its a educational video.

Sacred means, to be thankfull and to take care off. We do not do that. Nothing in our lifes is sacred anymore so, why do we complaint?

Sacred Planet (2005, DVD)

The most inspiring movie you will ever watch. Being of Indigenous American decent but growing up in a modern world, I saw the full impact society has had on the world as a whole. Very few words in this movie, and they are not needed to grab at your soul. The cenimatogrophy in this Disney production, is Disney at their best. Walt would be proud of this one, as well the Native Americans are proud. It is a must see for all ages, buy this movie for your children to take to school.
This movie can have such a positive effect on the world that it is unimaginable. To see that their are still a few places on this planet that are pristine. Chief CrazyWolf

This is an amazing video, much of it from the perspective of indigenous people. Robert Redford is of course wonderful.
