Product description

Synopsis
Master of the thriller, James Patterson crafts another fast-paced spine tingler with SAIL. A recently widowed mother of three is trying to heal her family with a grand sailing vacation. They set out for what is supposed to be an exciting adventure, only to have the family unit fall into even greater disrepair. One child isn't speaking, another is suicidal, another has turned to drugs, and the mother struggles to hold things together. Then Patterson suddenly throws in one of this trademark twists, making for a truly chilling, engrossing read.

The Dunnes have set off on a ten day boat trip, a trip that hopefully will bring them closer together, despite the fact that the father, Stuart is staying behind on land. But only an hour into the trip they're already falling apart. The teenage daughter plans to drown herself, and the teenage boy is high on drugs. Ten-year-old Ernie is near catatonic. But their mother Anne, with the help of her brother-in-law Jeff, is insistent on pulling everyone together, once and for all. Just when things start to take a turn for the better, disaster strikes. Stuart is left to pick up the pieces and find his family--but he is eager to start a brand new life. Maybe he's a little too eager.--From publisher description.

Anne Dunne is recently widowed~ her life and her family are falling apart~

she decides a "dream" vacation will turn the family around~ too bad it is more of a "nightmare" her oldest son has turned to drugs, her teenage daughter is suicidal and youngest son becomes NON verbal~ ADD to a great thrilled "plot twist" so very typical and fun in a Patterson Novel~ ONE OF HIS BEST~

I GIVE THIS ONE A SOLID 10 OUT OF 10 FOR Supense and plot~~ PATTERSON CHILLER THRILLER~ you will LOVE it~

Sail by James Patterson

Sail is a James Patterson creation and usually that's all you need to know when looking for a good book. Patterson has done it again with Sail. It's an old cliche to say it's a page turner but that's exactly what it is. Patterson's use of short chapters keeps you reading just one more until before you know it you're at the end of another book.
The characters of sail are real and believable although the plot may be a little contrived. The ending has a slight twist but not quite as unexpected as most Patterson novels.
Still, if you like to escape and enjoy reading page after page without being bored, then Sail is a must read.

Patterson/Roughan need to team up more! SAIL was great!

Created: 02/09/08
I like all of Patterson's books, and when he teams up with Roughan, you just know your going to be hooked from page 1. Only complaint I have about "SAIL" was that I would have thrown Peter Carlyle's sorry a____! in prison for life. He got off too easy. What a scum bag! Okay Patterson and Roughan, get busy and get another book out! I will admit that the family did get out of some pretty terrifying moments, almost unbelievable, if it weren't for one of the good guys dying! But you just can't go wrong with a Patterson book and with Roughan's hand in it, they make a team worth reading anytime! Once I picked up the book, it was impossible to put down!

FABULOUS READ

Created: 30/07/08
I love James Patterson's style of writing and SAIL certainly did not dissapoint me! I picked it up in the morning and could not quit reading till I finished it that evening. I felt as if I was part of the plot and suspense....this is a true page turner that you hate to see come to an end!! I love the tropical setting and the story of a family pulling together during crisis!
