Salton Melitta Take 2 2 Cups Coffee Maker

I am certainly grateful that I spotted this little jewel. It is what we needed in our home for two adults on the go that didn't have time to drink a whole pot of coffee in the a.m., nor did we have time to clean out the huge un-needed appliance that used to call our counter top home in the p.m.. Those days are long gone now that this TAKE 2 (2 cup coffee maker) call our counter top it's home. The huge 12 cup pot that previously went to waste is a thing of the past since now there is no pot whatsoever. Nope, only 2 travel mugs that the coffee brew directly into so it's ready to hit the road when I walk out the door. I was able to easily find the coffee filters that are recommended for this Salton Melitta Take 2 Coffee Maker on Ebay as well and of course, at a great price. I highly recommend this appliance to anyone who is tired of pouring the coffee down the sink at night because a whole pot is too much for the size of their household and is easier to make than a couple of cups that never tastes quite right in a 10-12 cup coffeemaker. I love my Melitta and wouldn't part with it even if offered double the money I paid for it (WHICH BY THE WAY WAS ONE PENNY PLUS SHIPPING !!!!). Hope this helps anyone interested in a convenient way to save time and money in the morning and end up with a great cup of coffee brewed directly into their travel mug... What more could hard working people ask for???? Well that answer might call for an entirely different review and honestly I foresee my response requiring alot more time than what I have available to offer at this moment, so until next time "ADIOS AND HAVE A BLESSED DAY...". First of all I paid about $15.00 for this brand new unit on E-Bay.
I have used it for a while now and would be willing to pay full retail assuming that it will last at least a few years, I just had a Black & Decker single cup unit that only lasted 6 months. I truly loved the conveniance of the single cup coffee maker and like the flexibility of this one even more. It makes one or two cups of coffee perfectly and fast, just a few minutes for one 14oz. cup and about five minutes for two. The stainless insulated cups are worth what I paid for the whole thing. It is very easy to clean up. I would recommend buying the #2 cone paper filters on E-Bay, much cheaper. For a person like myself that likes one cup at home and one for the road you cant beat this machine.
P.S. My wife likes it for tea also.

Used one of these for the last 4 years at work. I liked the fact that once the brewing was complete, the unit shuts off. Easy to use. Besides the two mugs, the unit I used had a pot included to make more than the 2 cups. This is nice if you don't want to serve in a travel cup.

We were looking for a coffee maker and found this 2 cup unit that dispenses the coffee right into the travel mugs. Perfect for our family, because I am not a coffee drinker.

The concept is a time saver if you like to drink your coffee on the go, because you don't have to transfer the coffee from the pot to the cup. It is easy to clean, insert coffee filters, and fill.

The only downside my husband has noted is that the coffee doesn't seem to get as hot as our old coffee maker.

We love this little coffee maker! It makes a strong cup or I should say 3 cups of coffee. The difficult thing for us was locating #2 fileters for it. Only thing we don't like is the coffee does not stay hot...thank goodness for our microwave. Loved it so much that we purchased two...one for each home.
