Samsung SGH D500 - Black (Unlocked) Cellular Phone

While the phone was in perfect condition and did work, it was completely useless to me. Although the convenient zip code feature listed in the auction clearly said that the phone would work for my Cingular plan in my area, it did not at all work. Actually, after some belated research, the Samsung SGH D500 is actually, at this time, an internationally purchased phone that is only supported in certain areas with certain plans. Cingular is not one of them. The phone would work for about 1 minute and then revert back to the original lock feature it came with. The genteleman I bought it from knew this, but had an AS IS feature on his auction and was of no help. So, $200 later, I was stuck with a phone that didn't work and wasn't sure where to go. Yet with the joy that is Ebay, was able to relist, clearly state that the buyer needed to ensure the phone worked in his/her area and listed my specific trouble with activating service. I was able to resell the phone, but lost about $54. All in all, the phone would be great with awesome features, but the phone is not ready for a US market yet.

This is a supurb fone with a tonne of features. From blue tooth to wap connection. Also with the ability to be hooked up to your pc so as to up and download muic, pictures, videos etc. Overall a great buy and very stylish to boot!!

this phone is great! first samsung phone to sport bluetooth and it does it well. I had this phone for about 2 years and it served its purpose well. plus the 1.3 MP cam works great! i loved this phone alot and it was built well. buy it now!

I bought this phone because it is small, compact, and easy to fit in a pocket or small purse. I don't like it because it doesnt' have service. What I mean by that is that there are times that I have great signal strength, but limited service where I can only make emergency calls, or no service at all. I want a cell phone so that if I have car trouble I can call for help. This phone doesn't help because the only place I can actually make calls is the center of town. It doesn't have service at my house, my job, my family's house, or anywhere else.

My personal phone is with AT&T and my business phone is with T-Mobile. First I tried this phone with my AT&T SIM card and it got terrible reception. This phone is not 3G. (I don't know if this matters.) I put my T-Mobile card in it, it works fine, better reception than phone I had been using. I would recommend it for T-Mobile, but not AT&T.
