The Sanders Autograph Price Guide by Richard Saffro (2009, Paperback)

This is an excellent book full of the most up to date prices available. I wish they would come out with one every year. However I use them for all my price guidelines.

This guide book was very informative in the basic research of autographs. While it is not a current publication, it is helpful in determining a starting point for the beginner autograph collector.
By allowing the novice to quickly sort through the more popular autographs from the ones that have little or no value, this book, as a beginner's guide, is both informative as well as an important guide for collectors looking for fulfillment and profit in this hobby.

This price guide for autographs is probably the best and most realistic on the market. It explains how the pricing is determined, and offers good tips on buying autographs. Thousands (and thousands!) of famous people are listed and their autograph prices, including values of different ways autographs can be obtained, such as just a signature, on photos, on documents, on baseballs, bats, and more. Even additional separate sections for sports categories, which I would assume could grow in future editions, since, surprisingly, some sports figures are not listed. Such as, just one example, golfer Johnny Miller. And for some reason football player Art Monk is listed twice (probably just an edit error). I assume if someone is not listed it's because their autograph is not worth more than $10, like Johnny Miller. But one sports figure's autograph is listed as $0. Whatever. 99.9% of the book is very useful and interesting reading. Also very helpful are the lists of contributors and recommended autograph dealers. And there are very helpful warnings about the crooks out there selling fake autographs and what to be aware of. There's quite a bit written about presidential autographs, but I think most of us will probably never own a president's autograph because most are so expensive. But I guess that will be useful for those who do or will. With that in mind, this guide covers the full range of autograph collecting, at least for pricing. This is not a guide for examples of autographs though. I highly recommend this guide.

this is a very heipful for reference,it was just what i was lookig for,a very nice book.it was a great value.i will use this book.it will be used to indentifie what autograph's i have and those i will purchaces.i have found no other like.

This guide continues to be the best source available for autographs. I wore out my copy and needed another. It does not reflect regional variances but is the only guide with a broad spectrum of autographs.
