Ostensibly based on a true story, SANTERIA is a claustrophobic account of what happens when you accept food from stranger. Nine-year-old Ricky Banda is given a cursed Eucharist, and returns home only to become locked in by an evil force, along with his cousin and his aunt. Only one emerges intact.

) Santeria has always been one of those religions where everybody gets spooked whenever it gets mentioned. Images of human/animal sacrifices and blood rituals pop to mind whenever Santeria is referenced and it's always been a religion that people find spooky, scary, frightening and just plain strange.
So all in all, this movie was an extremely bad low budget effort that fails to deliver what it promises with its title and its poster. Its got a lot of bad acting, a lot of horrible cgi effects and its just a bad production. I watched it only to see if it would get at least a little better but it didn't. It only got worse and worse until I finally I was given no choice but to exorcise the DVD from my DVD player. The power of Christ compels you NOT to watch this pseudo horror flick! You've been warned.

Even though the title is Santeria. The movie doesn't really get into Santeria. Its more like a Hollywood scare version of it. It dealt with it barely. But it did have its moments and was pretty scary at times. I would recommend it for the entertainment value.

) I purchased this movie because I had read about what Santeria is. And when I saw this title, I was like oh my gosh because there was a movie out about it. That's why I decided to buy it to see what happens when people put that particular curse on someone because like I said before, I had read about it.

being and older movie it still gets you out your seats my son simply love this movie he wanted something a little diffrent and this one rocks i rate this one a 7.5

Movie was great, I enjoyed watching it because its not like any other movie, this is the real thing. I highly recommend it.
