Movie synopsis
With her sexual and not-so-politically-correct brand of comedy, Sarah Silverman's potty mouth has made its way into her own television series. She plays a parallel-universe version of herself who ends up in a series of ridiculous and uproarious scenarios often involving her own, or someone else's, humiliation. No topic or outlandish idea is out of range for Silverman, who has made a name for herself with her stunning brand of shocking but undeniably honest stand-up routines. Season one finds Sarah drinking too much cough syrup, having a one-night stand with God, and adopting a homeless man. This is raw, cutting-edge comedy at its best, and each episode is another chance for Silverman to push the limits of a television show that might be offensive if it weren't so darn funny.

) I've watched all 3 seasons of the Sarah Silverman show. They just keep getting better and better. This dvd is a bit short as there are only 8 episodes in the first season. The "extras" are kinda silly - mostly just Sarah and "steve" singing and playing guitar, or Sarah and her sister ad-libbing and singing. I watched it once and found it cute and boring.
If you're a fan of the series, go for it. I re-watch the episodes from time to time, and they're still very funny.

I love Sarah Silverman's approach to comedy. She crosses the line and makes her show interesting enough to offend you yet it will still make you laugh, killing anyone's boredom that is created by every day television shows. I suggest people with a creative an open mind puchase this program.

In the case of an dvd purchase, the taste in shows and movies plays a leading role in the judgement of the product quality.

I personaly dig shows like, "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" & "The Office".
I saw one or two episodes of S.S. on tv and realised I had to see more. I bought the dvd so I could first of all watch it myself, and nextly, share it with my friends by lending them the dvd over weekends or such.
Partially the quality of the humor is a bit forced, but what conquers all is when Sarah gets to do her patronizing remarks combined with child-like toilet-humor, thats hilarious.
I Recomend a buy.

) This girl is so uninhibited, it's like watching a child play pretend in their room alone. I thuroghly enjoy watching each episode and can't wait to start catching up with season two. TWO THUMBS UP!!
