Album Notes
Personnel: Pat Monahan (vocals); Jimmy Stafford (guitar); Scott Underwood (drums).Audio Mixer: Mark Endert .San Francisco's Train hit the charts with a bang early in the 21st century with hits like "Calling All Angels" and "Drops of Jupiter." They began as a band that courted an alternative audience and quickly traded it -- without changing their sound much -- for a more adult fanbase with mixed results. SAVE ME, SAN FRANCISCO took four years to make -- remember there was Monahan's solo album in the interim -- and involved a slew of musicians (because only Monahan, guitarist Jimmy Stafford, and drummer Scott Underwood remain from the original group), four studios in the United States and England, songwriting collaborators, and even a handful of producers, though Martin Terefe gets the final credit. The truth is it's a very focused record, centering around the theme of a wandering young rocker who falls in love and wants to settle down. Ultimately however, SAVE ME, SAN FRANCISCO is a love song to the band's hometown.

Editorial Reviews
Monahan's earnest love songs are all sugar and sunshine, right up to the gentle album closer, 'Marry Me.'

SAVE ME SAN FRANCISCO-CLASSIC TRAIN

Created: 06/12/09
I have been a train fan now for years so I of course set out wanting this CD just to add to the collection. I had heard the first radio release Soul Sister and it brought an immediate smile to my face as I could envision Pat singing and dancing to this song as it is the Classic Train style. I receive the cd as a gift and as I listened I fell in love with the entire c.d. The changes that Pat has gone through over the past few years just radiates through out this c.d. In love and falling out of love he opens up and shares his joy and sorrows. My two favorite songs are Parachute and This ain't good bye as they truly hit home for me. This c.d is classic train and I am thankful that they decided to get together and get the creativity going again.
The first song and title of the c.d.Save me San Francisco brings Train fans joy as The band train began in the Beautiful city of San Francisco. This song is clever, funny and very up beat. I would recommend this c.d. to any train fan or anyone who enjoys mellow music that is soulful and heartfelt.
Great Midlife crisis c.d.- great gift for a girl friend

The CD Save Me, San Francisco by Train

Created: 08/09/10
I bought this cd for one song "Hey Soul Sister". I love dancing to this song. I couldn't get it out of my mind from the first time I heard it. I could listen to this song over and over again and I have. I hear it a lot on TV commercials. The group Train were guests on the show "America's Got Talent" and they sang this song. They were amazing. There are 2 other songs I like on this cd "Save Me, San Francisco" and "Drops of Jupiter". I'm not too keen on any of the other songs. I wish Train would compose more songs like "Hey Soul Sister" with the ukhelele
