Publisher's Note

Storytellers know -- just as they have for hundreds and hundreds of years -- that everyone enjoys a good, scary story!

Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories 3 joins his other popular collections of scary folklore, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark and More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, to give readers spooky, funny and fantastic tales guaranteed to raise goose bumps.

Who is the Wolf girl? Why is a hearse filled with men with yellow glowing eyes? Can a nightmare become reality? How do you avoid an appointment with Death?

Stephen Gammell's splendidly creepy drawings perfectly capture the mood of more than two dozens scary stories -- and even a scary song -- all just right for reading along or for telling aloud in the dark..

I bought this book purely for the nostalgia value. I used to read this when I was in grade school. The illustrations and stories really helped shape what is now my tastes for books and art. The stories are kinda cheesy, but if you read them out loud with the right kind of attitude, you can really make people shriek :)

I bought this book to revisit my childhood and it really helped. This was such a great read, it reminded me why I am strange and creative. Something about folk stories that are a little morbid very creepy and have phenomenal illustrations just make you think and imagine a little differently. The one pictured here is not the original cover my seller was able to sell me an original book with the cooler illustration on the cover.

I have yet to recieve the book, so right now I cannot give a good review. It would not be fair for me to give a review on something I do not have. I have written and asked about the book but got no reply. Nancy
