FUN FOR ALL AGES
Created: 11/06/08
I am a huge movie buff and a xbox 360 gamer, so it comes hand in hand that when scene came out for the xbox it was a must have for me. My first impression - opening the box it comes with a 4 controllers an infrared recieved and of course the game. The one downfall I would have to say is the controllers are infrared so you have to have the controller pointed at the recieved in order to pick up the signal, instead of just using the built in wireless so line of sight would not be an issue. I am guessing they did this to cut cost. Gameplay - The gameplay is pretty straight forward, they will show you a clip of a movie and ask you questions about the clip, draw a picture and you have to figure out the movie from the drawing, or show you pictures of stars when they were young and you have to figure out who they are. During all this a counter is counting down from 2000 and you must answer the questions before the points run out or you get no points. There are many more mini games but this gives you and idea of what to expect from the game. There are some things I dislike the way they made the game ,ex. one mini game slowly starts piecing together a scene from a movie, but the points immediatly start counting down even though no one in the world can figure out the picture making it almost impossible to get a 2000 point score unless you just guess the answer(which you lose points if you guess wrong in the second round). Also some of the games wont show you the multiple choice answers until you hit the big button on the top of the controller then you only have about 3 seconds to hit the answer or you lose. That shot of time doesn't allow you enough time to even read the answers to the question. Achievements - Play this game for about 3 hours and you will have at least half the achievements, even more if you really know your stuff. I give this game a 7 out of 10. Definitely a fun game for the movie buff and great for party s as well.

FAMILY FUN FOR AGES 13-83
Created: 26/12/08
There are few games that an entire family of ages 13+ can simultaneously play on XBOX 360, and have EVERYONE enjoy it, and this is the BEST we have come across so far (Marvel Alliance #2). Even of you have more than 4 people (comes with 4 electronic answer clickers), you can team up. This makes the game the only Xbox game that more than 4 can play at once!!! We did this with adults and teens on competing sides, mixed adult/teen teams, etc. and there has not been a dull moment. The key is to have each player (team) login seperately on the XBOX before playing because the hard drive will remember which question/game types (there are several different types of questions) have already been previously used by any of the players in an active game, so the game questions/formats won't repeat for anyone in an active game. If you don't do this, or play without a hard drive, the questions/games tend to repeat, giving an advantage to those who play a lot. Sometimes a clip is repeated, but the questions are totally different than any player has seen before, which is fun because the players who saw the clip in a previous match think they know what's coming, but then the questions are revealed and they are lost! The variety of puzzles, question types, film clips, etc. is well mixed in that teens have an advantage in certain puzzle types, but adults have a slight advantage in others. The movies referenced go back several decades, so even old timers can join the fun! There is a short version and a long play version. We love the long version which takes abouot 15-20 minutes from start to finish. There is also a party play game which just shows random games/puzzles, but it is pointless and less fun than teaming up 2-4 people on a team. In fact, as you add players to teams, it can get really funny because only one member of the team has control of the answer clicker, so when one of the team knows the answer they tell their teammate to buzz in or answer, but there is a limited amount of time to answer once you buzz in, and things can get chaotic with bouts of in-fighting amongst teammates for buzzing too slow, telling the clicker to buzz in but then answering wrong, or answering correctly but the buzzer pushes the wrong button due to time quickly running out. And, because the game starts to penalize your score for wrong answers, it creates another dynamic that makes the game really a lot of fun. It is easy to set up and put away meaning people can start a game and finish and have things cleaned up and put away in a jiffy. I highly recommend this game for the entire family.

Party Game - Definite Buy for 4 - 8 players in a party

Scene It brought to the Xbox 360. Basic gameplay: Use your Scene It buzzers that come with the game to answer various trivia questions about old and some modern films. It's a fun concept, and it works well with 2+ people. So, don't expect to be playing much in the single player mode, which I haven't even tried out yet. There are a ton of different questions to answer about different movies. There are name the actors, name the movie, which movie is this picture from, which movie was this prop in, etc... Basic questions which are fun. You get points for answering questions right, and the faster you answer the more points you get. Then at a certain point in the game, you start to lose points if you answer questions wrong, so you better know your stuff. So it sounds like I basically summed up the whole game, right? Well I did, and it's simplicity is a good thing, so everyone can play!
Everyone older than 20. Not literally, though. It's just that you probably won't have seen many of the movies they ask about or show you, so many questions will be down to guessing. Basic summary: It's a fun game for more than 2 people but will be very difficult for anyone under 20-ish. If you have a family of four, then this is a good choice for non-gamers.

Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action (Xbox 360) FAMILY FUN!
Created: 02/09/08
if you have never played a SCENE IT? dvd game, or even if you have, and you have an Xbox 360 and a few friends this is an exciting fun family game.
even if your a big movie fan this game is even fun to play alone!
you basically get to play many many diffrent trypes of memory or trivia type games that involve movies, actors, and actresses
you get (in this box) the game itself with thousands and thousands of questions, movie clips, stills, sound bytes, ETC.
and you get a really fun way to play, you dont even need a 4 controllers to play as this game comes with the "big button controllers" in Green, Yellow, Red, and Blue, each has a great big buzz in button, and then A,B,X,Y to choose your answers.
as questios pop up the first team (player) to buzz in gets to answer the question and if correct you earn points, and then after several rounds and puzzles the highest points wins!
then if you are just playing to play theres a PARTY MODE that lets you really just play for hours.
its all good fun, i reccomend this game, and with its sequel on the way more fun is to be had for many many many hours.

really fun party game
Created: 09/03/09
I played this game at a friends party and loved it.I already own the whole series of scene it board/dvd games so when i saw they had one for xbox w/o a board and much easier to play then i bought my own. This verison keeps track of clips you have already seen and questions you have already been asked,so the owner of the game doesn't have an advantage.downfalls are the game has alot of old black and white movie clips so unless you are a b/w movie buff the game is a bit hard.also asks a series of questions for one clip so if you don't know the movie you have to guess alot.
