The Sci-Fi Boys (DVD, 2006)

heard about this from a comment on you tube about peter jackson so i thought i would look for it on ebay and i found it for a great price got it and just love it. this documentary is about all sides of special effects such as stop motion, makeup, creature design and cgi and how they came about. you will enjoy it if you are a fan of old horror and science fiction movies a great buy for your collection.

Nice documintation and history of special effects and the worlds it has influnced. These are the guys that keep the ledgend alive and growing. A must for Sci-fi fans and movie fans. Thanks for keeping things weird.

Very interestng video! I was one of those kids back in the early 70's making movies with a Super 8 camera so I could identify with these directors/producers/sfx artists! Of course, they went on to make REAL movies(and real money) but the joy of reading Famous Monsters of Filmland and creating "epic" home movies was still worth it to me!Would of have liked more clips from the actual movies these pros went on to make. But still good watching!

Being another "monster kid" of the sixties, this was a film I never thought i'd see. And with the recent passing of Uncle Forry, it makes it all the more timely. For those of us who felt like they belonged to this club, even though we were a thousand miles away, this is a wonderful trip down memory lane. I found it on Netflix, & had to get my own copy. For any one who collected Famous Monsters or stayed up late to watch monster movies, this is a prized disc. It wont interest the car nuts or the fisherman, but I give it the highest rating!!
