Scott Pilgrim The Complete Series by Bryan Lee O'Malley (2010, Other, Mixed media product)

Ever since I saw the movie, I became an eternal Scott Pilgrim fan. So, to really become a fan, I bought the comic series. They always say the book/game is better than the movie, which is 99% true. This is an example when you can't capture everything that is in the comics into one movie. The movie was done very well, but after reading the comics, I noticed so many things either left out, placed out of context, or quotes said in the wrong moment. IE: "He's a jerk and you're a b*tch" in the movie, Ramona said this to Roxy talking about Gideon, but in the comic, if I'm not mistaken, Ramona said this to Envy referring to Todd. Major differences, but not enough to call the movie crap, for it is still one of my all time favorite movies.

The comics are good for any fan, reader or not. Each book can be finished in under an hour. The artwork is nothing short of majestic and beautiful, the story line keeps you hooked to where you don't want to put the book down. The box is a convenient holder for the books to make it a collector's piece, even after you're done reading the books. It also came with an awesome poster with all of your favorite characters on it. All in all, this was a great buy, I'm glad I got it. I would recommend this to any Scott Pilgrim fan, if you're given the opportunity to buy this, do it! The retail price for each book is $12, I bought the box set for under $67, so do the math, 6 books X $12 is $72, I saved $5 even with shipping, plus I got the poster and box; not a bad deal.

if you are a little behind on your S.P. , then here is an easy and cheaper way to catch up. The books are great, A perfect little manga series, althought it's not from japan like most.the art is great. and each book is crammed full of funny stuff that will take multiple reads to get or notice. the books are over 8 bucks each if you were to buy them individually ,so the box set is the way to go. plus you get a cool poster with the set.

If you seen the movie and loved it, then you'll love to read the comic series. All Scott Pilgrim fans my have these comics. There as epic as the movie was. This is the best way to get them. This is a true must-have. I for one loved the comics and the movie and I know everyone else will too.

The whole Scott Pilgrim series is a testament to the modern generation of this time. It is full of referential humor to video games, manga, comics, and movies. The story in-of itself is engaging and shows great development of the titular character and those around him.

The boxset is a nice touch. It comes with a poster, which is also great, but the folded quality puts me off a bit. Also, the box packs the books in rather tightly, so if you plan to keep them in the box, like I currently do, it might be a bit difficult to pull them out.

Still, for what it is worth, the box set is great, and the additional items, while not perfect, add a good value to an already great series.

A brilliant adventure for the modern generation of young adults. The Scoot Pilgrim comic books appeal to everyone with video game and music references contained in a strange and surreal hopeless romantic story.
The product itself contains the six books snug in a decorative box and also come with a fun little poster.
