Publisher's Note
“The authors describe and demonstrate the variety of projects that can be created from these patterns—wall hangings, holiday decorations, door stops, key rings, candle holders, switch plates, and decorative shelves. In addition, the standard patterns for animal figures, vehicles, nature scenes, and common folk-art images can be used by innovative craftspersons who work in media such as quilts, appliquÉ, stained glass, stencils, and jewelry.”—Booklist.

Patrick Spielman and Sherri Spielman Valitchka have reached new heights in artistry, playfulness, and practicality with this fantastic selection of 400 exciting, all-country, all-wood, full-size scroll saw patterns. Projects include sheep, lambs, pigs, people, horses, birds, butterflies, swans, country hearts, letter holders, key holders, coaster, switch plates, shelves, and many more.

Industry Reviews

In addition, the standard patterns for animal figures, vehicles, nature scenes, and common folk-art images can be used by innovative craftspersons who work in media such as quilts, appliqué, stained glass, stencils, and jewelry. Such a range of usefulness offers a good excuse for the purchase of more pattern books for the library collection (although no excuse is really needed, considering the popularity of craft fairs and home workshops)."

Scroll Saw Country Patterns

Excellent source for patterns just chock full! These can be used for so much more than wood..a great crafters resourse book. I like it is what it is a sourse of patterns and not a lot of fluff like pictures of authors house and family stories. I enjoy some quilt books which incorporate the family "thing" but I wanted a resourse book and got a good one!

This is a really cool book. The book has A LOT of patterns that cover almost every aspect of country life. I found that making a copy of the page and using 'spray tack' adhesive to affix the copy to the wood works quite well.
The patterns are kinda small, but you can 'blow' them up on a copier by increasing the size percent.
I liked this book so much, that I bought two more different versions from the same authors.

This is a great book for cutting out simple Scroll Saw patterns. It is great for new or first time scroll saw users!! There are not a lot of small or intricate pieces to worry about. ENJOY!! I did~~
