) I like this HDD because you can choose how to transfer data. You have options to use USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Sata, Firewire.
Good price for the gig. Biggest external that is also mobile enough.

) Read and Write speeds not spectacular (around 20Mb/s on my USB2 port) but the price / GB ratio is very good. I bought mine for 120USD on March 2012. Its a bit heavy not like the normal external ones but you get used to it.
