See and Spy Counting
Created: 05/11/06
This is an excellent book! Can be used for children, I would say, up to 4yrs. The primary colors, numbers, and animals are so clear and concise on each page is fun, even for the person reading it! Using a classical approach to teaching is a wonderful way to expose children to the world around them in a fun and interactive way.
Example: A page with simple color sporting a duck with ducklings in a small pond with a few lily pads and in the air dragonflies flying about. The questions asked are: 1. "How many blue ponds do you see?" 2."How many webbed feet does the duck have?" 3. "How many lily pads float in the water?" 4."How many dragonflies are flying around?" 5."How many ducklings can you count?"
We have many of the Baby Einstein DVD's and books. So far, I have enjoy them all and oh, the children do as well!

Our favorite Baby Einstein book!

Although there's really not much to this book, my two-year old loves it because it is one of those books that's very interactive. The pages consist of poem-type verse that require kids to point out and count different things on the page. Although my little guy is too young to count himself, he does enjoy finding the things he's asked to look for.
It's not a book you read for the story line, but there is learning involved, and it includes some of the beloved Baby Einstein characters.

We could read all day. My little one loves to pat the pages, sometimes she will hit it so hard she hits it out of my hands. Goofy Girl! She loves to hear my voice and know im next to her. She may be only 4 months but sometimes it feels like she understand what im saying. This book is great teaches numbers 1-5 and has very bold colors. Thank god its a board book, she would have ate a paper back by now!
