) I'm giving this compilation CD an Excellent rating because, in spite of the fact some songs are the shorter versions that were made for AM radio, they all are the original recordings - not re-records, and all the tracks are songs that I like.
The "American Woman" track though, has a different intro than the version I first heard on the local Top 40 station. But, just like the others, it's not a re-record, which I very glad about. I hate most re-records.
I'm familiar with most of the songs except for The Little River Band song, which was probably being played on the radio at the same time I was listening to other radio stations (Jazz, Country, etc.). It's a song that sounds good to me, though.
But, the main reason I bought this CD was because it has the song "Green Eyed Lady" as one of the tracks - a song that's included on another compilation CD that I don't really want to buy, due to the fact that it includes a particular song I don't consider one of my favorites.
So, I decided to buy this one - and I'm glad I did! :-)
