) Used the pedal for the first time Friday night at a gig. Very intuitive and user friendly. Excellent tremolo pedal that allows you to choose the depth, shape of the wave, type of wave (from sine to triangle to square), and has tap tempo. The last knob is a rate/ratio knob. In rate mode you set the speed by the tap tremolo or turn the knob for faster/slower speeds. In ratio mode you set the speed with the tap tempo and then choose 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1 speed on the knob. That feature makes sure that the double, triple and quadruple speeds are in time with your tapped tempo. Great pedal, I would recommend it!

) This is the least expensive tap tempo tremolo with subdivide, which is what led me to it, and positive user & magazine reviews on the internet.
The Shape Shifter does a very good job with the typical old school tremolo (Depth at 8:30 to 9:00, Shape at 12:00, Wave at sine) and transitions to a great sounding near stutter when you max the Depth, run the Shape left and the Wave to square. With the subdivide on 2:1 and tapping the song tempo you can exactly match the song with 1/8 note tremolo. No trying to tweak a knob while you're playing in order to get the tempo, unless you want to, you have the option.
Very solid construction and no perceptible tone coloration. True bypass and quiet. You have to spend $100+ more to get a better tremolo with tap tempo/subdivide and true bypass. (If money is no object check out the Catalinbread Semaphore)
