Shades of Blue by Karen Kingsbury (2009, Paperback)

I loved the story. I think every teen girl should read it and every grown women with regrets as it is very full of compassion and God's grace. It could help many girls avoid making huge mistakes by how Karen Kingsburry writes. She draws you in and you walk in the characters shoes. I certainly will never forget it. As for reading it as a grown woman. I think there are many things I did that I didn't know I'd regret in relationships when I was in High School. Often times things from the past end up as secret sins you hold inside and always feel funny talking about. Where as reading about it in a book like this allows you to work thru your past and forgive yourself. Karen has a gift for writing. I have read many of her books. This story encourages you to have compassion and speak up for what is right. It may help teenage girls a lot.

I ordered several books by Karen Kingsbury. Without reading the summary of each book...this one was the first that I started to read! It was not a coincidence that Shades of Blue was the first book that I picked up out of the 6 I ordered. It was a GREAT book and I would recommend it to anyone struggling with a decision they made or are thinking about making. I didn't want to put it down once I picked it up! Beautifully written!

I have read many of Karen's Books. She is a wonderful author and will bring out every emotion in you and make you think about things in your own life. I loved this book, it was a tear jerker yet filled with hope and compassion.

Have read many Karen Kingsbury books and this one was excellent. Covered many aspects of abortion in a loving way.

All of Karen Kingsbury's books are wonderful and this one is no exception. The storyline is real life.
