She's Come Undone - easy read/good book!

Created: 09/10/06
I haven't been dissappointed so far by any of the books in the Oprah's Book Club, and this was no exception. I did not particularly like the main character and actually felt rather disgusted with her at times, yet I found myself rooting for her the whole time. It was an easy read and I couldn't put it down - finished it in two evenings and would definitely recommend this book. It is hard to believe this woman's coming of age type book was written by a man!

No Words

I read this novel for the second time this year. And why I bother writing a review, I don't know. There are no words in me to describe the genius that is this story. I believe every woman should read this book and pass it to their best friend, boss, mother, sister, whomever.

Melting Pot of Emotions

I read this books years ago and reread it recently. Every time I have read it, I discover new symbolism and have "aha" moments. This book is very difficult for me though, it could pretty well be written as my own autobiography to a T. Reading this book brings new insight in my own life but also brings churns up anger and memories that are repressed. The average reader will laugh and cry all at the same time. The book is detailed and drawn out, which is good for the story. The book holds much symbolism for the deep reader. Book is written in a "this is how life it/matter of fact way" and doesn't try to overdo it will fancy language.

She's Come Undone

Being a seasoned reader of mostly legal, medical and political thrillers, I thought at first this book would be too light and immature for me to enjoy! However, once I started reading, I could not put it down. It is, simply put, an interesting book with a subject matter that is down to earth and believable. It is one of those that spoils you for awhile cause you cannot get interested in another book once you have finished this Wally Lamb book. Highly recommend this book to any woman, or teenager who will indeed find herself identifying with the main character. Hard to believe this is written by a man!
