Movie synopsis
It's contaminated. That's what pint-sized Bo (Abigail Breslin) says about every glass of water that she tries to drink, then rejects. This is just one in a long list of strange occurrences that are changing the lives of the Hess family. Things go awry when Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) and his brother, Merrill (Joaquin Phoenix), awake early one morning to find the dogs barking and the children--Bo, and her brother Morgan (Rory Culkin)--wandering bleary eyed in the corn fields. They discover a pattern of perfectly carved crop circles left the night before. Trying not to overreact, Graham ignores the media frenzy that has permeated all television and radio stations, and even shrugs off the oddly familiar information that Morgan reads in his book about extraterrestrials invading earth. The real challenge for Graham is to find the faith he needs to pull himself, and his family, through this unexplainable series of events. SIGNS is the long-anticipated film from writer-director M. Night Shyamalan (THE SIXTH SENSE, UNBREAKABLE), a suspenseful and uniquely chilling family story.

I as a real horror fan and a super-collector,I´m little bit disappointed on this movie! Great actors and a super director can do better than this! If´s not was for the great actor Mel Gibson and the Great Director had this movie been a real B-movie. Movie beginning as a real great movie but you longer the movie proceed you more boring it will be! Only a few surprises and seconds of tens wich do, I will give this movie Average instead for Below that!!! But at Blue-ray disc is more extra material, so this is Average but only for that! Furthermore I know many have different opinion about my review. I have see all horror movies ever made (almost) through the years. And have a collection with aboute 2000 wich is signed or cast signed or personalized directly to me and +1000 without autographs and have see them all. So I would be little hard, and would like a lot of more tens and surprises than this? A Really Great Horror movie shall be impossible to now the end and shall be much tens and most Important: Shall give turns, when you think you now, you don´t!!!

) There is nothing about this movie that is to dislike. This is one of the most suspensful movies that I think has been released in a long time, even to this day this movie startles me and gives me chills. Great suspense move that makes you think with a great score by James Newton Howard, this movie has it all! I loved this movie and only had it on DVD, when I saw that it was on Blu-ray I defintely did not hesitate to get it!

) What makes this movie so original is that it isn't the typical "war of the worlds" as Merrill states in the movie. Rather, it is the war inside, as Graham and his family struggle to make sense of the bizarre death of his wife and the mother of two kids.
If you are looking for a horror movie, this is not it. If you are looking for a typical "war of the worlds" or "Independence day," this is not it. If you want a movie that incorporates elements of these into an intense personal struggle and drama about faith, life, and the existence of God, then by all means, watch this movie.

It's just a great movie , every time it's on I find myself watching at least part of it.Very few movies have that effect, but you can just feel the tension grow throughout the movie.

This is one of my favorite M. Knight movies. It has everything that you would want in a movie! Action, suspense, drama all wrapped into one great movie.......
