Bootleg Silent hill 2....
Created: 20/09/09
I was very excited about buying this game! I knew of the Silent Hill title and come to love it. I bought the game and at first I was like "OKAY I AM READY!" .... but then... as it kept draggin on I noticed something weird.. the story sounded so familiar and from the start I already knew where the story was heading.
The story was weak from the start and wasn't addictive like previous Silent Hill titles. The story seemed like a repeat of Silent Hill 2, but a cheap version.
The enemies in the game are annoying and are not fun to kill! There are very limited ammunition in the game, but that is okay because I was able to beat the game with a knife alone. Its very easy to beat the game with a knife if done right. A flashlight "off" will save you for sure in this game, but problem with that is its really dark in the game and you can't see a darn thing without it on!!!!
The enemies in the old games had a meaning and a symbol or manifestation of
the characters emotions and thoughts. Such as the Romper in Silent hill 1 which was a manifestation of Alessa's fear of adults. The Air Screamer which came from one of Alessa's favorite books. Stuff like this always told you about the character and what was going on around them. But in Silent Hill Homecoming they removed this and the monsters are just there to be cool.
The monsters are unique to the characters and their emotions so how is the pyramid head guy in part 2 and in homecoming? IN homecoming he was there just for show and had no real meaning which ruined a big part of the game for me.
Silent hill Homecoming had a lot from the movie Silent hill such as monster design with the nurses and pyramid head. The shift between worlds was just like in the movie which makes me really sad.
The game wasn't scary to me and the feel of the game was way off from the other silent hill titles. I felt that this game should have had a new name instead of it being another silent hill title. The music didn't help the game which we all know in previous titles the music was one of the best things in the game. I felt that the music didn't live up to the old titles and didn't help this game become scary.
In silent hill homecoming the main character was supposedly had just come out of the army and so he has combat skills. These combat skills ruin the game and make the game feel more action then sneaky and scary. In previous Silent hill games the lack of combat skills and poor accuracy make the game scary and even make the player panic because of the poor accuracy and combat skills.
My final advice is if you played previous Silent Hill games then don't pick up this one because you will be VERY DISSAPOINTED AND UPSET!!! if you are new to silent hill and buy this version then you won't notice any change or difference, but my advice is to go play silent hill 1-3 even 4 is better then this one ~ in the scary department.

This particular game happens to be the most innovative of the series. The story is bold and nothing is kept hidden. The music of the game? A total masterpiece!!! Silent Hill has always been known to take place in abandon buildings and these buildings bring bring the experience to life. Crawling through holes, near death experience at many parts of the game. The graphics are very pleasing. Very clean and uses a new system of "noise effects" which make the game truly sharp for the HDTV. Silent Hill is also famous for it's multiple endings... And this game is no exception. This time around... You do not need to do a squence of things in the game to unlock the alternative endings. Just playing the game again would be good enough to unlock the next ending. I found the story to be very understandable. The story is very intense. I had a few problems... You can't freely save in the game. You have to go very far to find the next save point also the amount of saves are too little. 2 minor flaws that are acceptable. Trust me... You won't be disappointed!

Well for starters I played the whole Devil May Cry series , so I can really say that Devil May Cry 4 its the best game out of this franchise .The game is very challenging and took me more than 100 hours to complete all the achieviments. You start playing has Nero fighting a experienced Dante in a church cenario, its like the game is saying "You wanna play with me then train with this beginner first!" , a must have for action fans.
Silent Hill homecoming was a mistery from the star , it came from a new developer company (Double Helix) and after the awfull sequence (Silent Hill 4: The Room ) I became quite desapointed with this series. However I was pretty satisfied to see that this title was put in good hands , its very well made , scary looking and it makes good use of the hardware of the next generation consoles. The history is entangling and the monsters came from the worst nightmares I could ever had. A must have for horror fans ( and one more thing dont trust online reviews of this game , play it and you surely gonna see what im talking about ).

This was my first foray into the Silent Hill universe, so I can't say I am a fan. I thought I'd delve into it after catching the feature film on TV, which was so out there I thought it had to be a great video game. Unfortunately, although the game was just as bizzare and creepy as the movie, it was as far-fetched as the movie almost bordering on ridiculous. However, the only thing this game has in common with the movie is the town of Silent Hill; it's a completely different story altogether. This game is like Resident Evil on acid (if that were even possible)and I like RE. The CG is passable--barely; the controller action is very good and the graphics respond well to it but the story graphics are poor and the characters look lifeless like maniquins. As far as gameplay is concerned, it's less a gun weilding game and more of a melee game. There just isn't enough ammo to be found to eliminate the bad guys with just your guns. You have to become proficient with your knife and ax. The game is very short but they try to make up for it by working in alternate endings and different acheivements which occur depending on your choice of options at various story points with certain character interactions and dialogues. If you are so inclined to beat the game enough times to view every ending you'll find yourself taking under 3 hours to complete it beginning to end. Not the best.

Not a great game, but a good one.

Like the rest of the Silent Hill series, Homecoming is more about atmosphere than anything else. The combat is still clunky (but better than earlier games), it struggles and gets choppy displaying graphics that aren't very good by current standards, and the humans look like they're carved out of wax. I think fans of the series will be happy with Homecoming because it delivers more of the same dark town and creepy monsters they've come to expect. Someone who had never played a Silent Hill game before might think it seems very outdated compared to games like BioShock and Prey. It's like an interactive horror B-movie. Play it with the lights out and don't be disappointed when some of the details are a bit goofy.
