Silk Stalkings - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2010, 4-Disc Set)

This was a smart, modern show that took place among the rich and beautiful, but all too often, evil, residents of Miami Beach. I did not watch this program when it appeared on prime-time TV, but life changes: semi-retirement, confinement to a wheelchair due to severe arthritis-made me open to a friend's suggestion to purchase Season One. I have never looked back. Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture are the detectives and Ben Vereen is unforgettable as their superior. The district attorney has some interesting flaws-he fears losing his job or being demoted, so he always wants to be politically correct and his fumbling attempts to complment, placate, and ingratiate himself to his bosses and the media make the times when he steps up and does the right thing all the sweeter. One of the unique parts of the detectives' routine is deciding if a new case is a "silk stalking." They are both fine actors and their witty repartee adds zest to every episode.

I like the people on the show and thats why I bought the dvd and I like watching the old TV shows. I think that these were good shows to be watching in the good ole days and there should be more of this kind of shows on TV and we would be better off.

I bought the dvds cause I used to watch S.S. when I was younger and I really like that couple..! Unfortunately my dvd player doesn't read the dvd but I watch it on my laptop, so no problem..! Well.. I would prefer it if it had greek subtitles but even like this, it works.. Definately I want and the other seasons but the price is a bit high for the present, so i have to wait until I collect the money..

The chemistry between the 2 lead characters is what makes this Police drama show worth watching.The storylines(plot)in the 1st season were a little thin and relied to much on sexual innuendo.This improved greatly as the show evolved in the seasons afterward.
