It also helps one to know that the identity of the stone purchased at a weekend show is the correct identity of the stone.

) This book is a great reference for stones in their original state into their jewelry form. Where they come from and how they are mined.

Bought some "old" jewelry at garage sale and wanted to learn about different gem stones and how to identify them so I could be knoledgeable when buying and selling on EBay. This book like a gemstone encyclopedia. It turned out to be an excellent resource book but a little more statistacal than I needed. Glad to have it though and need to study it more after the holidays.
