Product Information
All of the buses in Springfield seem to be turning into nuclear reactors! Only one man can be responsible for this evil Mr. Burns. Now, with bus tickets costing upwards of $100, the citizens have no means of transportation except you. Choose one of more than 30 characters from the beloved animated TV series and drive around the city for cash. There are dozens of familiar faces from the show, and each of them will need to go to a different destination in Springfield. The object of the game's Primary mode is to make as much cash as quickly as possible, and that will mean reckless driving and speedy reaction times. Sightseeing mode allows you to drive around the city with the timer off, just checking out the impeccable detail of the landscape created for the game. THE SIMPSONS ROAD RAGE is simply a must-have for fans of the long-running satire, as it's the only SIMPSONS-themed game to include so many characters and such fine detailing. Play alone or take on a friend!

s a "Crazy Taxi" set in the Simpson's universe, this is

Created: 13/03/07
The Good: Large environments that fit the Simpson world; Great voice-acting by the show's characters; A ton of characters from the show with different cars The Simpsons

The Bad: Gets really repetitive as you'll be going through the same motion again and again; less than stellar graphics

The Simpson's has been an extremely popular comedy. For the past 15 years it has gotten great ratings. Lots of companies have tried to make games with the license and most haven't brought the Simpsons world to life. This doesn't change much in this game. The plot of this game revolves around Mr. Burns buying Springfield Transportation and is now using dangerous radioactive buses to carry their unfortunate passengers. Everyone in Springfield is now working to buy Springfield Transmit.

There are four different gameplay types: Road Rage; Mission Mode; Free Roam; Head-to-Head. Road Rage is the campaign where you try to earn money by driving passengers to their destinations. This is somewhat fun. But it gets old fast as once you've nailed a good pattern, you do it over and over again. It does change things up with different objectives that are thrown in like knocking over so many objects to get an extra $1000 or hitting no traffic. But these, too, get old after several times.

You can unlock different characters and their cars. There are probably about 20-25 different characters, from Ned Flanders to Grandpa Simpson. They all have different cars, too. Like Krusty has a clown car buggy, or Proffessor Frink has a flying car. All the characters have the voices from on the show which adds to the experience and makes it seem more like Simpsons.

Mission mode is where you take various characters and they have to accomplish a certain task before the timer runs out, such as "Knock down 10 light posts before the timer runs out". But again, these are more of a hassle than fun. The head-to-head is slightly more fun in which you two players are competing to try to get to a goal of $5000, $10000, $15000. When one player picks up a passenger, the other player can still get the passenger by basically playing tag. When the opponent hits the car with the passenger, he steals the passenger. This can make the multiplayer hectic and enjoyable, which is a nice change of pace from the campaign. The graphics are ok. They would have looked much better if everything was cel-shaded. But instead there are slightly sloppy 3D graphics. It doesn't ruin much of the experience though, so it makes no big deal.

Gameplay: A campaign that runs out of fuel fast, and decent multiplayer.

Graphics: No cel-shaded graphics, but still not terrible.

Sound: The authentic voice-acting adds to the experience tremendously.

Value: Maybe 10 hours can be squeezed out of the campaign and missions. The only real reason to go back to this game at all would be the multiplayer.

Final Words/Tilt: A decent game that Crazy Taxi and Simpson fans will enjoy for a little while.

Simpsons Road Rage.

One of the best Simpsons games its a great arcade fun plus the extra mini missions make it worth a lot of fun, when you plan to play it multiplayer its a great game many characters.
GRAPHICS: 8
Unfortunately, this game is from the xbox and better than the ps2 or gamecube Not the worst thing in the world, considering that this is a port, but EA could have taken the extra time to anti-alias the game. But the graphics are somewhat solid, and the worlds do seam with detail, and that makes the game's graphics a B.

SOUND: 8
The sounds are fun to hear, wacky and come from the Simpson's actual voice actors. Unfortunately, they start to get repetative after about 20 minutes of gameplay, with various characters. Characters do sound funny, and say really funny comments.

GAMEPLAY: 10
The great part of this game is the gameplay. It is wacky, fun and crazy. You take any Simpson character, place them in a vehicle, and the game is instantly Crazy Taxi. You deliver various Simpson characters to various destinations found throughout the TV show. Examples are Flander's House, the school, the church, etc. You can even compete with a second player to see who earns $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000 first, and you can even steal passengers. It really binds the show and Crazy Taxi together in one, fun, wacky and crazy package. A perfect 10/10.

STORY: 8
I'm amazed they even came up with a story, but it is satisfying. C Mongomery Burns, the richest guy in Springfield, has bought out the buses of the town, making public transportation non-existant. Homer Simpson and the rest of the gang make their cars taxies to raise money to buy the buses back. I'm surprised they had an ultimately satisfying story along with the package of the game.

FUN FACTOR: 10
The game is fun. Delivering passengers never really gets old, since there are many things to do, from the Sunday Drive to playing someone else. Plus watching some Simpson characters drive really is wacky, fun and crazy (like always).

OVERALL: 8
The Simpsons: Road Rage is a wacky, funny, crazy and extrordinary Xbox game worth it if you like or have played Sega's Crazy Taxi for Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Arcade or even on the Xbox . Especially if you're a Simpson fan! Doh!

Great Game for Simpsons Lovers!

Created: 04/03/09
I've been playing this game off and on for years now and I always come back to it! The game is a lot of fun to play, especially for Simpsons lovers. You choose a character to drive around Springfield and help others in the town get to their destination. It's a simple-sounding game but a lot of fun. There are tons of missions and sub-games to beat in order to unlock new vehicles and driving scenes. The game is definitely a lot of fun for just about anyone!

Road Rage a fun title

 | Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Playing a Simpsons Game is always fun, as the comedy of the characters constantly remind you of the show. Road Rage is exactly like I remember it, albeit a bit shorter. I guess the game felt shorter because I am older now, and "better" at games.

Regardless, Road Rage allowed me to sit back and rip around Springfield in various well-known cars; Krusty's Klown Kar, Bart's Rocket Racer, the Plow King truck, and the good ole' Simpsons Family Station Wagon.

There are 10 story missions, a free mode, and a Road Rage mode. In Road Rage mode, you need to pick up citizens of Springfield and drive them to their designated locations. You earn cash with bonuses for speed, no damage, etc. Keep earning money to unlock all characters, their cars, and starting locations.

In all, a great game, and one I remember from years ago. Don't spend an arm and a leg on it, but if you can find it cheap, definitely add it to your collection.

Only for lovers of the Simpsons

Created: 18/09/08
Wow, talk about off the mark. I can't believe Matt Groening put his name on that steaming pile of @#%&! The only reason I didn't give it a poor is because I really, really, REALLY love the Simpsons. Do you remember Crazy Taxi for the Sega Dreamcast? It's like that, except it looks and feels like it is being played on an Atari 2600! What I say is a tad of an exaggeration, but BUYER BEWARE!!! I played it once for 10 minutes and it's a game that I really don't have the enthusiasm to want to play again. I only paid about $7 for it, so it wasn't that expensive. I'm scared though, because I just won the Simpsons Hit & Run and the Simpsons for xbox 360. Seriously, I'm "I see dead people" scared now!!! The characters don't interact well at all. The controls are medeocre at best. The worst part is that the only plot is to taxi denizens of Springfield, Wherever? to different places for a little money. The only play again motivation would be if I were getting drunk with some friends and wanted to have a taxi competition. Even if Ms. Crabapple ran around topless it wouldn't be enough to rouse my interest!!! I still love the Simpsons though...D'oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
