* Nice Holiday decorations! Christmas is definitely the better represented holiday, but others, including the Oriental New Year are represented as well. Christmas trees, christmas lights, etc.
* Some of the new clothing is nice. I particularly like the Japanese Kimonos. The santa and elf suits look cool too.
* Some nice, new floor tiles and wall coverings that I'm actually using.
* Firecrackers! 55 of 64 people found the following review helpful:
3.0 out of 5 stars Better than the other Fun Packs, but..., November 15, 2006
By James Chapman "Warrior-forge" (Everett, WA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME) Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars This review is from: The Sims 2 Happy Holiday Stuff (CD-ROM) This is yet another overpriced "Fun" pack. I liked it better than the previous fun packs, but that's not necessarily saying much. If you already have Sims 2 Pets, this will feel like a letdown. I only bought it because I'm one of these Sims 2 fans who has to have everything. I did not get last year's Holiday Edition because I already had the base game and I couldn't get the separate download to work, so I don't really know if this "Fun" pack is the same, similar or otherwise to that edition.

Filling your Sims with that warm Christmas glow!
Created: 10/07/08
What is Simulated life without celebrating the time honored traditions and heartwarming holidays we hold so dear? This Stuff Pack is an excellent little buy. I loved the giant celebration tree, mistletoe and huge selection of Christmas time decor including cute candles, an assortment of nutcrackers including full size ones I plan to stick on either side of my front door, cute lawn deer...Rudolph is going next to my driveway :) and a large two story Christmas tree for big celebrations. It also includes some great styles of Christmas trees, presents, plants, and more! Outfits, fireworks, it's a wonderful pack. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of the word Christmas. In fact, you wont find it anywhere in the game and as one of those people who celebrate Christmas Day, not "holiday day," and find it quite silly that Sims is going the "politically correct" route, I was a little offended that the "sacred star" ornament was about the five elements of wind, fire, and water and crap like that instead of what it's really about. But other than them RECREATING THE "HOLIDAYS," I found the expansion pack quite cute.
Don't be alarmed like I was or think you were scammed like I did when you buy it and find no serial number. This must be a REALLY old Stuff Pack because it doesn't require one. The installation is quick and easy and if you are using newer expansions like Free Time that's loader shows you your expansions and stuffs, it wont be listed there: but it IS installed. Another disappointment is that it doesn't create a collection. With all the other stuff packs I found the installed collections to easily find the new objects but this one didn't do that and you have to surf through your categories manually to find the new content.
OVERALL, AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO THE SIMS 2 FAMILY AND ONE I'M EXCITED TO HAVE!

Somewhat Disappointing
Created: 03/07/06
Family Fun Stuff is exactly what it claims to be--an add-on pack for the Sims 2, not a full expansion pack. The pack does add some quality content, including Hawaiian, underwater, and fantasy castle sets. The problem is that that is ALL that is added--I would expect a lot more content, considering that small packs are sometimes available for download from the Sims 2 site and they went to all the trouble of putting it on a CD at (I feel) an inflated price. As I said, the content is pretty good, but the quantity is unimpressive--I might have been happier with downloading some of the good content one can find for free on the internet than purchasing this pack.

Not Worth The Price
Created: 18/05/09
Note: This is a "Stuff Pack" which means that it adds new objects to the game, but does not come with new functionality, as would be expected from an "Expansion Pack".
This pack adds objects geared toward kids. There are new costumes for your young sims to wear, as well as many objects, all broken down into themed collections. You will also get two collections of object - "Fantasy" which is old castle looking objects, and "Underwater" which is designed to look like furniture from the lost city of Atlantis, as well as some generic clothes and objects.
Overall, I was disappointed by the amount of stuff this pack adds to the game. For the price of it, I was expecting upwards of 100 objects, but it is far less than that. If you need a few new objects for your Sim children (or immature adults), this might be a good pack to pick up, otherwise, it isn't worth the price.
