Singer CE-100 Futura Computerized Sewing Machine

SUPPORT COULD BE BETTER
Well, there used to be a Singer dealer in my area, but no longer. I tried to find another one, but no luck, all I managed to find was stuff in the USA, I live in Canada. The support/dealers from 'the coast' were NOT helpful at all! I asked them for information regarding dealers in my area. They could not tell me of any, which I thought was very strange. I went into a quilting shop in Prince George BC, and they told me of a dealer in Smithers. I have found great support from the people in Smithers, BC. I needed the auto punch program for my machine, plus a screw as well. I am hearing impaired and asked them to contact me via email, which they did. They can order the software for me, and it will be here within two weeks. Great service, in my opinion! Since then, I've managed to find 4 more dealers in our area via fluke. Email or webpages for these places would be helpful. I am lucky in that my friend does commercial sewing, including making shopping bags, accordian cases, etc and will help me out if I get stuck, but honestly, how many people have that?

PERFORMANCE
As for the machine, there is a lot of guessing to operate it, all the instructions are NOT on the disk. It is a lot of trial and error and getting used to the machine. I don't have any sewing experience at all, and it was rather frustrating for me. But, if a person takes their time and works thru it and is patient, it is a joy to use. I made one design so far, but have yet to use auto punch and photo stitch. More information regarding stabilizers, tutorials on photo stitch, auto punch and printed manuals would definitely be an asset though. Haven't compared it with other machines, good feature that it does have is that it supports more than one embroidery design format. I wanted an embroidery machine for the least amount of money possible. I have 3 other machines, all Singers, but one great feature is that this can also be used as a regular machine.

I love this machine. I've not used the embroidery attachment yet, but it has worked beautifully as a regular sewing machine. It is missing the USB cable to connect it to the computer, but I'm working to replace it. For the price, this was an excellent purchase.

Love the machine , Bought another like it that needed parts like the hoops , book etc .. This machine came with every thing I could use for both .Hooking up to the computer gives me a larger screen to see and work with . You can update this machine with new programs .

Need to read what exactly you are buying before you buy it. The machine was average looking, the packing was below average (loose in box).
