Sister Act (VHS, 1992)

Boy can she act..my entire family loves Whoopi Goldberg..I had forgotten how much I loved this movie..we found it for .99 at a second hand store along with it's sequel Sister Act 2 also .99..and have been laughing ourselves silly since..begins with Delores (Whoopi) a funny, but sweet lounge singer who's mobster boyfriend has just ordered a man killed of course Delores sees the entire thing and runs to the Police..they in turn decide to hide her while they build their case..the hiding place a Convent..what follows is funny, sweet, touching and all Whoopi..movie fans don't miss this one..Maggie Smith and Whoopi are fantastic in this film!!

This is just good clean fun.

Whoopi is trying to escape her mobster boyfriend after seeing his goons murder a man and is put into a convent for protection until the court hearing. From then on, it is fun and hard work for the "Sister" she becomes.

Well worth watching again and again.

Enjoy movies that are funny. Was unable to locate this movie locally and have Sister Act II. The price was great

Good movie. It stars Whoopi which is a treat. I think you will enjoy it. Buy it Rent it enjoy it, A church reaching out and meeting needs

I know I shouldn't, but I LOVE this movie. Between the feel good music and the cute story - how can anyone not love it? The nuns are endearing, the music is contagious (even if you are feeling bad, after this you will be smiling in spite of yourself). Even my little niece, after watching this, wanted my copy of the movie - which is why I am buying another... [:-)
