A Sister's Test - Wanda E. Brunstetter

It was the 2nd book in the series, Sisters of Holmes County. It was just a great book. I am having a fit having to wait until July for #3. If you like contemporary Christian books, this is a great series. If you like to read about the Amish way of life, to go to a simpler, slower life, this book and the series has been great so far. Even though the book is set in today's society, you kind of go to a simpler time and place. The story is great, it gives you love, despair, hards times, good times, and a little some suspense. Wanda E. Brunstetter is a great author. She has written several books on the Amish and you would love any of them if you like to read about the Amish.

You'll love this second book in the 'Homes County' series.
Ruth Hostettler sees a tenderness in the handsome face of Martin Gingerich and she is drawn to him and wonders if he is falling in love with her. But there is also Abe Wengerd, a widower, who secretly loves Ruth and needs a mother for his children. The third man in this story is Luke Friesen, who has seemed to have forsaken his Amish ways to run with a gand of Englishers. Accidents seem to happen whenever Luke is around, such as the mysterious burning of a neighbor's home. Everyone suspects Luke, but did he do it?
Wanda Brunstetter writes that same heartfelt stories about Amish people that authors like Beverly Lewis & Cindy Woodsmall are popular for. You will learn that in the community everyone helps one another.....they are all family. The ending is interesting on who Ruth chooses out of all the men. Highly recommended!

If you read A Sister's Secret you must read A Sister's Test! Wanda Brunstetter keeps the suspense and curiosity from the first book continued in the second novel. I could not put the book down! I cannot wait until the next book in this series comes out. I would recommend this book!!

Wonderful!I bought it because I love reading books written by this author. The books put the reader in another time but are in this time. I think the values of the amish are the way I pray the rest of the country and even world should look at life. God is in the middle of the Amish life the way He was meant to be. The books are a breath of fresh air.

I had never read a book by Wanda Brunstetter until now. I fell in love with the characters and the stories. I like reading about Amish living so I tried her books. They are all so good. I have not found a book by Wanda that I dislike.
She makes the people in her book seem as if she was there and knew the families.
